Very talented player and hate to see him out. I do know the Doctor he went and saw leaned over to his ear and whispered "the hill is for real, maybe they have a chance to beat Dayton now" then leaned back out and said "hope you get well soon, hate to see you out."
sucks for JD just plain out bad luck. theres always nxt yr. but looks like a short playoff appearance for dayton this year. i pray for the kid. thought he was out for 4 weeks from that wreck though?? did dayton not think they could beat crosby without him?? crosby already proved how sorry they are. BH is shutting them out friday
nah... he was released before the NF game and didn't play. He was fine to play and you probably would have had to tie him down to not play against Crosby. Just a freak, unfortunate thing.

It looks like if Central beats PN-G, then the Indians will be the #2 division II seed and will play the Broncos!  Get to hear Cherokee and see the marching I.  and...  I get to watch my Broncos blast another 20-4A opponent!  Good times for PURPLE 4EVER!
Nederland needs to make the playoffs for Dayton to play PNG.  (If I'm no mistaken)
won't PNG be the #1 small school though? dayton will play the #2
 3.

No one has stopped LCM's O yet and LCM's defense has not stopped a good O yet.Nederland will have to put a lot of points on the board to win this one.Have not been keeping up with Ned this year so I don't know how their O is doing but I know LCM is never out of a game with their O.
Stopped LCM's O ? lets see didn't Central and PNG beat Da Bears ? Ummm Yep they did. So I would say that obviously 2 teams have stopped LCM's O this season. Just had to put it all in check. I am pulling for the Bears in this game. I think LCM does have a very potent O, I give that advantage to the bears in this one, D is a push on both sides of the ball.
well... png did give up 34 pts. They may have stopped them enough...
What you ment to say is he can throw the long ball for big gains against a weakDayton secondary.  Which will be the cause for Dayton's early exist from the playoffs.  You heard it hear first.   :o :o
::) ::)
 5. I might have agreed early in the season... but LaMarque hasn't been playing well. Brenham might win our side of the bracket ... we're no pushover as you know, but El Campo has been quietly rolling through their schedule. They'll be a tough out.

No Balls: Crosby for being late. Dayton for crying about crosby coming out late.
#4 C.J. Burke
C.J. is doing a great job indeed! :D :D @ the bolded part.
 7.

crosby will go out in 1st round and Dayton plays Brenham probably in round 2. Who knows, Thats why you play em. There is not a team in 4-a east of Houston that can at least challenge Brenham except for the Broncos. Certainly not Crosby.
Central has a better shot than Dayton. immo.
central won't play them either
 8.
Fair enough i can respect that, the kids (some of them) seemed they didn't know what was going on for whatever reason however the coaching staff did make them take knees. Hardly a result of lack of disicpline by coaches. wasn't on coug sideline we had no idea how bad he was hurt.
understood... could you hear the cougar fans yelling for them to take a knee though?? I could hear it halfway up the stands on the dayton side. Back to the actual football game. I was very surprised Merka never really got loose.
 9.
Well to be fair everyone was on a knee and it took a very long time for the carting to occur.
let me be clear.... the length of time it took them to actually take a knee was the issue. Once they did I have no qualms.
 10. When you get 4+ fumbles (forced or not) inside your opponents 40 yd line... 28-0 is not an impressive win. I don't really care rather tonight impressed you or not. A win is a win right.... that's what you said about ya'lls narrow victories over the weaker teams in our district. I almost forgot..... Class is being out on the field for the national anthem, or not delaying the game after the half. Not to mention, it took your own fans yelling at the Crosby team to take a knee. After the stretcher came out, this was unacceptable. If Stewart has 0 class, your coach is in the negative numbers. Cougtalk
 11. Sweet Lord, 2 years ago, Who'da ever thought Diboll would get beat like that? I know Kville is good, but man!!
 12.
I have pictures and I don't see in any of the frames where he was kicked by the Crosby player.. #5 Crosby grabbed Jakaris shirt, was pulling Jakari down and thats when Jakari's leg broke.
That's good to know. That's the way it looked from the stands.
 13.
Congrats, Broncos.
thanks for being big enough to come back. Ya'll got some big, nice looking athletes.

Terrible,Terrible(in my best Barkley voice)
What video was it? Who shot it?
Talk to Toups
I haven't seen it on video yet, it is going to my computer now.  I did get a good angle on the tackle.  Looked like to me from the original play Jakari was horse collared (which is what the penalty was for).  The crosby's players legs might have flown around in the tackle and hit Jakari, but it looked like to me his foot stuck on the turf, the tackle pulled him back and his leg couldn't handle the stress.  A towel was thrown over the leg almost immediately after the play.  My son said he heard the leg pop.  When I was a senior at PN-G our QB had a compound fracture in the lower leg.  Jakari will have a long physical therapy process ahead of him.  Keep him in your prayers that his leg heals correctly.
Regardless of his football career, I wish the young man the absolute best and I really really hope that he heals to full strength.  I lost a season in college from a spiral thumb fracture...still never healed correctly.  I sincerely wish the young man a speedy recovery for his life and not for football.
well said.
 15. Toups... check your pm's... I have a question.
got a little nauseous reading that. Scary moment at the game, after the wreck 2 weeks ago, everyone in the stands was expecting something worse.... Terrible way to end a monster year. I hope, not for anyone else's sake but JD's that he gets to play in a Bronco uniform again. Great kid! Get well soon Jak.

I got the Rotary club mixed up with the Booster club. My bad. For a second there I thought maybe Stewart was running some 3rd world footbal camps to develop some future talent!  ;D
Oh, you haven't heard about the Mogambo family that's moving in from East Africa.  I believe they hail from the yoruba tribe.  They have 6 sons, each 10 months apart, the oldest is 14 is 6'2" tall, runs a 4.35 forty, and holds the tribal record for tackling the most wildabeasts consecutively. The thirteen year old isn't as big, but he's a little faster.  Those 3rd world football camps are really paying off.
I heard the EAYFL (East Africa Youth Football League) is complaining though, citing the kids are moving for athletic purposes.

That freshman game was awesome. Crosby has two very good backs coming up and Dayton has a very good team. One of the best freshman games I have seen in a long time. Both teams played hard. High five to both teams. Lot of talent coming up for both teams. Should fuel the fire for several years to come. By the way, I know for fact there was no B team game as of Monday evening. Do not know why. Dayton had there B team on sidelines at this game ready to play so make your own conclusion.
They cancelled on Crosby but regardless, these are the types of comments that should exist more often +1
heard from a coach that they cancelled the game due to grades and injurys.... the first day of the 2nd six weeks was Oct. 4th.... the kids would regain eleg. by today the 29th... so they have been playing 3 weeks with grades...So this is not really a factor.... they could have had some injurys... some rumors were flying around that some kids were playing both games (the QB on B was starting Corner on A)... so maybe that might have to do something with it... they were already short... don't know.... As for the game... that was exciting to see.... Crosby did not have a really good game... lots of blow assignments... plays did not look right.... but still had the guts to come back and tie....  with a win next week they are 19-4a dis champs..  has been a long time sence that has happened... just makes me look forward to watch them with more coaching... go Coogs
Congrats to that group of cougs!! do you feel like the bolded part was the cougs being flat or did our kids have a part in it? I'm seriously asking.
Fowler for Crosby is no slouch. He and Carranco could both play a large role in this game. I enjoy the field position battles that go on in games like this.
- If all goes as planed we won't need Carranco on forth down punt's to much ! I think Fowler might be a little busy though !
;D :D
