The least we can do is be a little more delicate when we criticize them.

Frustrated wow!  ??? Just keep in mind that these are teenagers you are mentioning in this forum. Whether or not you agree with the choices made, these young men are still teenagers that were chosen by the staff. You touched on a lot of different issues that concern you and others, but take it easy on the kids.  ;D It's too early to start piling on, we haven't even beat Dayton yet.  ;D
Yeah... that.
 2. The walk from the JH parking lot is only a couple hundred yards. Not bad in my book.
 3.
Is there alternative parking in case that fills up?  Is it even in danger of filling up?  I seem to remember having trouble last time I went, but that was 13 years ago.
The parking at the Junior High itself has never filled up since the additional parking was added behind the home side (former vis. side) stands. When you see the Entergy office coming into dayton, put your blinker on and turn into the JH in about a block. If you're early, you can get a little closer to the stadium.. if not, it's just as well to park at the school and you'll get out of there a lot quicker after the game.

It would make more sense to me if they were setting up a return, but they never return it either. Just wondering. Broncos 21 Kitty Cats 14
I've often wondered this myself.  Maybe we are saving our super secret, highly indefensible punt blocking plays for later in the year? Broncos D gets it done and the offense comes alive.... Dayton 31 Diggs and kittens  13
I kinda lean this direction myself.... Remember the punt block against Brenham last year... HUGE and it looked like they'd been working it all year.

 7. I'll say this... Cody will compete.. but most of all he's gonna get a degree when it's all said and done which is #1 in my book.
martinez is a stud, and i have to agree.... Cody may never see the field as a starter with TM there.
TM is certainly good... on a positive note for cody.... Cody got 2 posessions in the first half and both were touchdowns and was 5/6 passing. This was against western kentucky, but I suppose the same could be said about TM's huge rushing performance and 9/15 passing.
he forgot it at first... added it later. look about 3 or 4 posts up from this one.
 10.
Not good, our defense was already suspect. We will be fighting for a play off berth. 3 losses may be in the future!! [Hidden Content]
no doubt hope the kids heal up quick.
 11.
no direspect but the visitors side in silsbee is not close to the seating capacity on the home side in lumberton no disrspect
I doubt everyone that comes to home games will come to Silsbee. The difference is usually pretty significant, even for a team that travels as well as L-town.
 12.
Called the Horse 8)
the actual fight song is "On Wisconsin" as someone said above. The Horse should be IMO though.
 13. Dayton's ... it goes ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba baaaaaaaaaaa (trumpets ring in with bum bum bum bum bumbum) ba ba ba ba    ba ba ba ba      ba ba ba ba baaaaaaaaaaa (trumpets again) ba ba ba ba    ba ba ba ba      ba ba ba ba baaaaaaaaaaa ba      ba ba ba ba ba ba    ba        ba    baaaaaaaaaaaaa What do you guys think? It's gotta be right of there with the best ever. You can also so substitute the ba's for la's or dum's.... So, it's a pretty versatile fight song as well.  ;D
 14.
The 9300 seating capacity that TexasBob has was before Silsbee made the add-on on the home side. According to the info given me, Tiger Stadium now has a capacity of 10,000 after the semi horseshoe was added. If I remember from last time Lumberton visited Tiger Stadium, you guys failed to fill up the visitor side then. I don't see a problem this time around as far as having enough seating for Raider fans. ;)
Tiger Stadium is one of my favorites. Beautiful setup.... 10,000 seats is plenty. I think 4000 will be fine for l-town.

Right now the standings are... #1 Galena Park 2-0 CE King 1-1 North Forest 1-10 and then.... Barbers Hill 0-2 Crosby 0-2 Lee 0-2 Memorial 0-2 Dayton 0-1 Who will the last team be that finally gets a "w". This week Barbers Hill plays Nederland, Crosby takes on Pearland Dawson, Lee battles Terry, Memorial takes on Manvel, and Dayton plays Angleton. All 5 teams from 19-4A could be considered as the underdogs with Dayton maybe getting the nod in a very good contest against Angleton.
According to the na-sayers, santa fe was not good when they beat BH, however they beat angleton the next week.  Dayton and BH get a win this week.
Who beat Angleton the next week?
that's what I was thinking. no one... Angleton beat Brazoswood.

 19. I see this one being close like last year (i think it was close). TC has been a little surprising so far. Flip a coin.
 20. Much more even boxscore than I expected... Crosby just couldn't get those ball in the endzone I suppose. Fumbles and INT's don't help either. 21.
The Freshmen teams lost. The JV took the Crosby JV to the woodshed last night ! The JV Defense had a shut out. The only score for Crosby was on a kick off return. It should have been called back due to 6 penalities that the refs didn't call. One was a bad block in the back that left one of our boys on the field. The others were pretty much the same. Also its questionable if their runner stepped out of bounds as well. The refs last night were terrible. They were slow and really couldn't run with the plays. The JV offense was very impressive with numerous long runs up the gut and some good pass plays. The D caused I think 1 or 2 turnovers and recoveries. The score could have easily been  42 to 0. We had on td called back and we had a interception on the 1 yard line. The JV secondary was stout as well as the whole D group. The players that rotated in didn't miss a beat on either side of the ball. On the O side, I think we used 4 different running backs. It was a very good game and PNG controlled the entire game in my view. This JV team so far is very exciting to watch and very well coached.
DANG!!!! PNG even has good JV coaches?? ;)
 22.

I don't know about the best defense in SE Texas, but maybe the best Defensive Coordinator in SE Texas. Look at his very, very, impressive resume: Nelson Barnes will return as defensive line coach and will serve as defensive coordinator. The 51-year-old Alvin native has 25 years of coaching experience, including varsity defensive stops at four Big 12 schools -- Texas, Nebraska, Kansas State and most recently for three years at Oklahoma State. That is very impressive, especially for a High School Defensive Coordinator.  No doubt he has seen a lot in the Big 12 and has been a part of a lot of schemes to stop Big 12 teams.  I think he was the D-Line coach at Texas, and he has had some good D-linemen to work with at Texas. I agree, that Memorial has always had the talent, but they needed the right Head Coach and Coaching Staff.  However, Memorial has lost some talent over the last couple of years due to the hurricanes.  After Katrina, Rita, and especially Ike, several players moved and attended PNG and mostly Nederland.  Even with the loss of those players they have still had talent, but you include those players and they would have been a much better team with more depth. It's too early to say who has the best D in SE Texas, after only 1 game. Let's see after about week 5 or 6.  However, looking at the Titans defensive personnel, and talent, I would have to put them at, or very near, the top.
When did Barnes coach at Texas? ??? ???
[Hidden Content]
