Help, the margin is getting closer!!!!!! Wasn't it Dayton that had a few players rescue some people from a burning car? Are they still playing?
I think one is still playing. the rest graduated. -

How did that turn out for him.. was all distrct rb the year before and not last lear<<< HA, great move X!!!!!.....I heard that Liberty has some athletes that will be attending dayton this year as well...Are ther parents geting jobs there too...
Not sure why you went that direction after reading my post but.... Who is they?? X is one kid. He got to play in the regional finals. I'd say it turned out well. Crosby had a standout from the Dayton city limits a couple years ago as well.

Broncos have a chance to be showcased on KPRC Channel 2 News Friday Football Frenzy this Friday. The survey asks, “Which game do you want to see on Friday Football Frenzy?†The choices are Dekaney vs. FB Marshall or Dayton vs. Elkins (you know the correct choice)! [Hidden Content]

Is this the curse of the Nederland Baseball team? I understood he was iffy about playing football this year because of baseball commitment to TCU.
Maybe you're talking about Tyler Smith? I understand he wanted to dedicate his senior year to baseball.
Per previous post above, Trev Sonnier was injured and hopes to be back for WOS. Trev did commit for baseball at TCU, can't verify if he was iffy about playing FB his SR year. Like baddog commented, Tyler Smith passed on FB to concentrate on baseball.
Trev was "iffy" about playing football this year. He understands that an injury could jeopardize his TCU baseball scholarship. Trev believes strongly in teamwork and team spirit and he felt an obligation to the Bulldog football team to suit up his senior year. As his mother, I am very proud of Trev for being a team player, but if I had it my way, Trev would be sitting in the stands on Friday nights.
Mrs. Sonnier, I wouldnt worry about anything anyone says on here on what Trev will or wont do. Most of those posters need to get a life and stop trying to live vicariously through a high school athlete. You see them on here all the time, "when I was in school" or "when I played". Maybe those same people need to look in the mirror at that fat, beer bellied, old guy that has nothing else to do but complain about what teenagers are or aren't doing. ::) Trev and your family will do whats best for him and that is the only opinion that counts. Let the has beens be never wases. :'(
??? No one said anything negative about the kid.... Sounds like you've been looking for a reason to say that for a while. ::) And no... I don't fit that description. -

But overall, I was impressed with PAM's performance. Sloan needs to be coached up some. Plays too high but overall, I was impressed. The secondary hit really hard and the skill people on offense ran with authority. 100% improvement from last year.....
that's some good stuff coming from you. Glad you're back watching your team.
I never stopped. Just upset with them underachieving and I guess going from RTG to Xbox Kenny just made it worse for me. But to his credit, he had good participation over the summer, and looks like the 2 coaches hired the other day on defense are panning out.
My bad, I thought you had sworn off watching them until Harrison was out. Either way, glad they're looking good.

I can't offer much... I saw the second half last week and most of the 1st half this week. IMO, Ned was ahead of where WOS was last week on O and D in my opinion, which isn't worth much, considering how much I got to see. If Ned can get the ground game going, and that D is more than capable of keeping the big plays to a minimum, I think WOS/NED will be a 7 or so point game that could go either way. I like that Benjamin kid. Much more physical D from Ned tonight. I like it.
Nederlands defense is much improved over the last couple of years, both offenses seem a little off, Dayton started putting some things together later in the game, Carranco hit a 37 and 45 yarder, he is going to be exciting to watch and he is a sophmore. Daytons defense is stout!
agreed on the first part. 2nd part... dang, I had to leave at the half. Hate that I missed a 45 yarder from him. He might turn out to be a great one! Already is by my standards. -

Nederland is gonna be alright! lots of positives. Forney can sling it and once he starts making better decisions, such as which balls to throw away and when to take a sack, will be a good one. Troy Benjamin can run the ball!! You'll hear his name plenty this year! -
??? - boy you guys really have a complex - folks ask how the game will go - I state my humble opinion and you two freak out - I did not belittle Nederland and how do you know what to expect from me Jackhammer? I am basing this on Nederlands talent and Daytons talent, plus our game last year against both, granted the teams are different - but that is what I have to go on. it is called an opinion - sorry if you two think it was in poor form or the typical FW response. Nice job with the nick name ballpinghammer - but a donkey and a mustang are no where near the same!! Have a good day. What games are you going to watch Jack??

Big Ned has their hands full. What a great look for a Nederland team loaded with seniors on offense and a younger defense that has been pretty impressive up to this point. People can say what they will about the importance of a scrimmage but this will really give Nederland a great measuring stick on where they are and what they need to concentrate on leading up to district play.
It is just a scrimmage but we will see how Nederland does defensively since that has been a bit of a disappointment in recent years. Dayton is really good, but i don't think Ned is going to let them win. They better come to play.
No doubt about that. IMO, dayton plays one way, all out. I personally like the mentality. What better way to get ready for a game situation than to treat it like a real game? I don't like the idea of having to flip the mental switch when all of the sudden the special teams are live. Any time you are facing someone other than your own teammates... get after 'em, scrimmage or not.
