Also, Dayton will smash BH this year. Dayton wins state within 3 years!!!
Big, Come on man! Dayton won't win State in 10 years, much less 3. There is a HUGE difference between a district contender and a state contender. You saw Lake Travis play, I assume? BIG Difference between them and Dayton (especially now). You know how to spell Dayton? It's West Orange Stark. Go stir the "Beans and Franks"....... ;D ;D ;D
You saw dayton play Sulphur Springs I assume? They were a state contender then.... I'm not predicting when we'll be back, but I don't think that it's out of the realm of possibility in the next few years. LT can only win one division per year. Dayton was 4 minutes from having a very realistic shot at a state title last year and no one thought we'd be close.... especially after that Crosby game. ;)

Blown Call Ends Perfect Game Bid With Two Outs in 9th

Watch the pitcher snowcone the ball, and then, gather it in after the runner crosses first. Not saying he was safe, but it is at least arguable.
So you can't snowcone a ball, and have control of it?
I believe the point westend is trying to make is that the gathering in of the ball could possible deem the runner safe. -
He blew the call. Everyone makes a mistake, and at least he admitted to it after the game. He apologized to gallaraga and leyland. Think about how bad the umpire feels when he gets up this morning.
I agree. He showed a lot of class. In full speed, that's a difficult call. I would assume it's always tough when the pitcher and runner are sprinting toward the bag with the ball coming from outside your frame of view. -

BH and Crosby are coming to put a whippin on ya.... ;D ;D
Oh, I see BH and Crosby are gonna join forces... In that case, you got a shot to beat Dayton. :D oh and in reference to your earlier comment about dayton thinking crosby sucks.... I don't think it matters what happens, we'll always think that. I'm sure after that 28-0 win last year Crosby thinks they've got us figured out. Gonna be a fun year.

Word of warning to bh89-2.... If you are enjoying a hot dog during the Eagles first district game (probably topped off with Grey Poupon) I hope you have a large amount of Pepcid AC, because I sense a serious dose of heart burn as reality once again hits the Hill. Need I remind you of Barbers Hill record against Dayton since moving up to 4A.... As for Crosby, when they play Dayton it will be a war.... Only time will tell who the winner of that game will be, if Dayton gets through their pre-district schedule healthy, it won't be good news for any team in 19-4A.
That hot dog, heart burn or not, is going to taste great knowing someone from Dayton had to buy it. ;) ;) I swear, you Dayton folks are reminding me more and more of West Orange Stark. All they got to talk about is historical issues. What is most impressive is how everytime another team beats them they praise the other team as if they have accomplished something great and are a very tough team, al of a sudden. Until after Crosby spanked you, they sucked by most Dayton fans account. Same way WOS bashed Kirbyville for so many years, until Kirbyville beat them. BH should have spanked you, had it not been for very poor coaching. When are you going to learn I am never wrong? Bet your bank account or gamble your pig: Crosby BH Dayton GCM/Lee By the way, Barbers Hill has a new auction site where they sell outdated or surplus items. Pass it along to your football team they can pick up a laptop for about $60 or so. Hate for someone to get in trouble over laptops again. ;D ;D Got to love a little pre-season smack!
You're right, you should've spanked us and our first-game-to-ever-start-quarterback. ::) But instead you got a taste of things to come (this year) in that third quarter and hate when PURPLE 4EVER brings it up. Coaching is part of the game just like officiating is, which coincidentally made a very close call taking a TD away in the corner of the endzone which I believe would have gave us a 14 or 21 pt lead and this wouldn't even be a conversation. As far as historical issues go talking about a state title run in '86 and deep runs the past 3 years (semis, finals, quarters) is hardly the same thing. Okay, I'm ready.... tell me how good BH is in all the other sports.

He is a retire/rehire, but that doesn't mean is guaranteed a job from year to year. As for Coach Chancellor, apparently Coach Gage felt like a change was in order for reasons we probably will never know. I respect Coach Gage and like what I see. If you have never been an Athletic Director or, better yet, won a state championship as a Head Coach AND Athletic Director, you might want to reserve judgment. The man has a pretty impressive record and is VERY well respected throughout the state and not just as a football coach. If you don't know all of the details, why don't you keep your armchair commentary to yourself and see how things play out next year?
Where's the fun in that?
no doubt... I know some ADs are bound to read the board, but they're probably not posting. Asinine statement. It's a forum for opinions... ::)

I think the win over Dayton did something for the psychi (sp?) over there, along with the good playoff run... good for them. It only makes the district better.

Running the option doesnt sound too appealing to me for a spread QB.
He's not going anywhere and is looking very good at the QB spot. Once he improves his foot work, he is going to be a very good QB. He will likely be a Div-1 talent. He has the size and arm, just needs to clean up in a few areas. BH has some size on the line this year and the whole run game is based on mis-direction. Liberty Hill ran a similiar style offence very effectivly with smaller and slower talent. If you don't turn the ball over and you run theball effectively, what does it matter if the other team runs the spread or not? You must have possession of the ball to score, right? As for Dayton winning District, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Crosby is the team to beat.
I'm liking the confidence out of you man!! After so many years of being a Negative Nancy, it's good to see. This district is gonna be tough and it's gonna be a fun year. Can't wait!!!
