They were already scheduled to play Dawson and didn't get return call. Matthews told his friend Flanigan he would drop game. But there is some truth to the racist black school board member in Crosby (Windfont) old as dirt and would be nice to see her voted out.
thanks
Didn't Laporte go a couple of rounds deep this year? I was thinking that they beat PAM pretty bad in the playoffs. I think they will be plenty tough.
Katy has knocked them out in the 3rd round the past 2 years....

Tyrone_CrackHead funny American! Crosby shut you out 28-0 and won district. You and Bucking Buffalo go crawl back in your holes by train tracks in smelly town and get a life!
I am sure Crosby enjoyed watching Dayton play in the quarterfinals from the stands.
really it just makes us think......We could have won the region if we were DII. If yall made it that far, and we kicked your a$$. Heck, we might have won state!!
you don't believe that. ;) DII had more of the top teams in the region than D1 did anyway.
by rankings maybe in the region but not overall, the top 3 were in Div I. Rankings don't step on the field, players do! And Dawson and Lake Travis would have rolled ya!!! Bottom line is Crosby whipped ya in this "not a rivalry" game!!! Crosby has braggin rights till next year!! So quit the trash talking and cross your fingers next year.
Angleton, Brenham and PNG were all ranked higher than Fwood, Crosby and Dawson. A couple of examples of rankings going into the playoffs. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] you are right... rankings don't play games, but when the teams don't get to play each other.... it's what we got It's all about matchups and our D was playing really well in the playoffs, so I doubt we would've gotten "rolled" but neither of us can really say. I don't know why you mentioned LT.... You guys didn't make it far enough to play them... we actually have, so we definitely know what they are about. -
I gotcha, just one mans opinion. Just like it is my opinion that not everything printed in papers or seen in the media is true. I know Coach Snelson, he's a hard nosed, matter of fact guy, not some one to whine in the paper . But it was a catchy "Hook" by Dave Rogers, sure made me want to keep reading.
I agree... the writer said the word complaint.... The quote from Snelson didn't fit that description in my opinion either.

Drew finished 13th overall and was the 12th male to finish in a time of 2:24:27 in his first marathon. Outstanding! 5:30 per mile for 26.2 miles! -
Just ask Nederland how good Dayton's freshmen class is... There will be a lot of young line men step up next year at Dayton, but the skills positions on offense (with exception of Peyton) is basically all returning. Lots of sophomores played a lot last year.
I agree the talent is as good or better to me..... Experience will be the issue, if anything.

They are the only team in the National top 50 WITHOUT a national top 150 rated kid. This is a heck of a team but you may not hear a thing about these kids after high school... They will fade into obscurity. Joseph Young is the only kid with a next level game, that could actually make some noise on a Providence squad. But Peters is a 6' guy in a PG's body with no PG skills (he can barely dribble). Darius Gardner is a sub 6' point guard that will be a decent contributer on a small D1... But I tell you that he is not better than any of the Hancocks or Skip Jackson. They had decent careers but aren't Pro prospects just like Gardner. The only other kid that may do a little bit is the 6'3" newly starting Elton Roy, but he took a long time to develop. He was highly rated in the Houston area out of middle school, but feel off the map by under performing. So yes I say Wise coaching is a BBBBIIIIGGGG part of their success.
I agree... his coaching is a big part. He was also successful at Kingwood, where his son played for him. But talent does play a part.... since you know them so well... I'm sure you know he convinced a couple of players with family that have Yates ties to come and play. Addressing another point on this thread... Once again... no one wants or wanted JY to stop playing or play with less intensity...
He NEVER coached at Kingwood.
Heard on the radio that he did... my mistake.

I did not say I was going to attack you at all, I said don't address me if you need to call me names. And if you were calling me names the "built like that" is because I know you would not say that in person. I apologize for the misunderstanding.
You are correct in saying that I would not call you "stupid" to your face if I did not know you personally. I am not built like that. But, if we were having this conversation face-to-face, I would still have the same convictions. We will agree to disagree. Best of luck to the Jags on the remainder of the schedule. Working at Baytown Sterling, I have seen my fair share of sub .500 seasons. They are never fun.
I would call you both stupid to your face and then depend on speed and elusiveness to escape. :D
