If Splendora is within 15 pts of Silsbee by Halftime, I will be surprised.  Silsbee is too seasoned to have a letdown like they did during district.

Only team that Splendora has played this year that could come close to comparing to Silsbee's speed is Coldspring and Splendora lost both those games, 56-41 and 61-31. Jason Vela Splendora head coach is very familiar with upsetting 21-3A oppents. in the season of 2005-2006 Splendora beat Hardin-Jefferson and following that next season of 2006-2007 the beat West Orange Stark by a buzzer beater. I say Splendora control the tempo slow it down in the half court and beat Silsbee 65-60 :P [/quote]It is incredibly hard to slow it down against Silsbee's in your face defense.  When a defender over plays you going for the steal, the last thing your instincts tell you is to just stay slow and let him catch up with you, and set himself up for another steal attempt. I just think that the coach who is focused on the goal (like Sigler is) would be wise to avoid the team that can expose his team's biggest weakness for as long as possible. The job is not complete until you've won state... as least, that's what I would think if I were Sutherland or Sigler.

[/quote]I think how far you go in the play-offs is a better determinant than who won "Round 3".  We all know that a 10 game series would go 5-5 or 6-4 (at worst).  So who wins this game isn't really all that important. Take the 2008 season, for example.  HJ beat Silsbee when they played this game (for seeding purposes).  So HJ has bragging rights, correct?  No, Silsbee won game 4 in Hunstville and went on to the State Tournament.  HJ may have had bragging rights, but only for about 2-1/2 weeks.
