You know... maybe the reason for the poor shooting from behind the 3 and the high number of turn overs was partially caused by good intense defense!  I mean, no matter the offensive power of either team, both of these schools live and breathe (and thrive) on good in-your-face defense!

[/quote] And just think that if you had been 2 steps further out it would have been a charge and would have been waved off. ;D [/quote]Didn't have a chance.  Threw the ball in after a made shot.  Our guard let the ball go right through his hands and the opponents 6'5" front man on the press caught it at the free throw line (or top of the key).  By the time I'd got there, it would have been a 3 point play, the old fashioned way. But again, the point is.  I don't remember any of the layups against me, but I do recall the dunk... even after 87 years! ;)

That is just some happy fans celebrating an incredible victory.  Its not like the cheerleaders from 2008 who went and taunted our hecklers...... ok, they probably deserved it.  That's just sheer joy coming out! Save the "thug" comments for the thugs. BTW, great shot at the buzzer.  He may not make it ever again, but when it counted, he made it.  That's all that counts.  Period.

There was another reason that the Tigers won... and they won an incredible game!  With 19 seconds left and the game tied, HJ couldn't get off a good winning shot.  Silsbee could. Kudos to the Tigers for a great win!  Kudos to both teams by proving that they both have the drive that is going to take them deep into the play-offs!  I have a feeling that this series is not going to be settled until Hunstville.... even with all the other strong teams in the area.

Thanks, Dove.  You just saved me $5.00 and the hassle of sitting in a crowded gym only to watch my Hawks lose. I appreciate the heads up. Of course, maybe HJ hasn't been in a close game because they are that dam good!
