[/quote]He doesn't start.  Blake Venable (senior), starts at Forward.  Shawn comes in off the bench. The other guys are right.  He's number 10, tall lanky 6'2" and has been, shall we say, interesting to watch.  You can tell the kid is going to be very good!  He does make a few sophomore mistakes, but he's improved as the year has progressed.  He can be a beast on the press when he's up front with Jacoby (otherwise known as "Jacolby").  Quick hands. With Shawn, Gus, Sutherland, and Will Anderson returning next year, it looks like HJ will have another of their infamous "rebulding" years!!!  ;)

Back in 2008, HJ won their Regional Semi-final by hitting a high percentage of free throws (80+% I think).  In the Regional finals against Silsbee, they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from the charity stripe.

At the risk of watching HJ lose to Navasota and having egg all over my face, if I was Silsbee, I'd be very worried that they peaked too early in the year. Look at their last 3 games.  Lost to HJ.  Lost to Kountze.  Squeaked by Rudder.  By all definitions, Silsbee should make it to the Regional Finals, but if you looked at their last two weeks of games........ I have a feeling they are going to turn it up a notch or two from here on out, however.
