I heard from someone rather knowledgeable on this topic and he informed me that many teams are afraid to press a team like Brookshire Royal because they are "so good".  When they get to the play-offs and face a press like Silsbee's (or HJ's), they are totally unprepared for it. BR might be looking forward to running and gunning with Silsbee, but that will simply play into the Tiger's strong point.  Those big guys will be winded by the middle of the second quarter and will be a non factor in the second half if this happens.

If I remember correctly, Navasota and Silsbee are cut from the same mold. The last time HF played Silsbee, it was a good game.  HF Can Hang with the Rattlers. The question is WILL THEY? I think these guys have peaked at the right time. Confidence is a wonderful thing, ain't it?

Giddings was simply more athletic than we were.  Kudos to the Lady Hawks for scrapping themselves back into the game, but the missed layups and the poor rebounding killed us. Although I don't mean to demean Giddings.  Their defense simply overwhelmed us at times and caused us to miss shots that we should not have missed.
