Wow, so you wonder why Lumberton doesn't get any respect? No class what so ever... We beat ya'll, and it's in the past, but I guess ya'll still have to cry about it, accept the fact that losing is apart of this game, and even when you lose to an "underdog" doesn't mean you have to cry... Yeah ya'll beat Central, congrats on that... But that doesn't mean you have to come on here and whine about losing to us last week, when we lose this week... REAL CLASS ACT! And Ozen came to play and deserved to win... 2 of their touchdowns came off our fumbles in our own territory, which decided the game... We just couldn't handle the speed, their RB's ran all over us all night... Cry, I've never cried or whined about a loss on any post. Yes ya'll beat us that is a fact. And yes losing is part of the game. But almost every pirate fan known to man had been talking **** all week. So don't come on here and tell me about class. Get your facts straight before you tell me i'm whining or crying. I just don't understand why Ya'll can talk smack but when we talk it's a REAL CLASS ACT. You need to get over yourself seriously. Everybody on these post likes to have fun! I'm one of them no harm intended to anyone. But whine or cry you will never here that from me. I just love to hear all the excuses ;D Actually, only a few came on here and talked smack... The rest of us accepted that we beat a VERY GOOD Lumberton team that had an off night... And I've seen one excuse on here about the flags and that's it, we lost fair and square and all of us are admitting it... No excuses being made, so next time wait and see what we have to say before you say something like that... And obviously you are bitter about the loss last week, because if you weren't then you wouldn't have came onto THIS thread to mouth off about it... This is about the game itself, and should be about congratulating Ozen on a well-deserved win... As for my fellow pirate fans, next week should be a dandy... PNG coming off a hurting loss to open the new Reservation, so they're gunna be looking for some revenge... We keep the fumbles down, and play like we know we can, we should have a good chance to win... IMO if Vidor loses, the playoffs are almost out of the picture, but like I said that's just my opinion... Any other thoughts? Oh and mlp9111, congrats to Jacob on an excellent game played... It was only a matter of time before he got his chance to shine, and he showed what he's capable of... Tell him Austin said "VERY NICE!"

Yeah, he starts next Friday though against PNG... sweet!!! he was always dead on when i played w/him on freshman and jv, hope hes still got it remind him he might have to tackle too lol still remember the game when he kicked off and started joggin off the field lol we saw it on the film and was like what the heck??? Lol yeah I remember that... He told me he hit 3 50 yarders the other day in practice... And he's only doing XP and field goals, no kickoffs... haha sweet, janise has a leg, but is not accurate i'm assuming he will be doin ko duties? Yeah that's what I would figure...

Been thinking the same thing MO! : We got one now... The little brother is carrying on the family tradition... ;D Saw him in the stands against Central, wondered why he wasn't out there. Was kicking great as a freshman & sophomore. Well the parents are paying alot of money to get him scouted for soccer, and they didn't want him getting hurt somehow during football, but I guess they just decided to let him go at it now...

This is not a GOTW topic. It is the schedule for BISD broadcast games. The Lumberton-Central game will be broadcast by our Lumberton crew. Oh well my bad, I was just going by the title of the topic "BISD GAME OF THE WEEK*"...

I agree with Nederland Bulldogs, and its not even close... Take a look at 13-4A... 13-4A: Hallsville, Longview, Longview Pine Tree, Marshall, Mount Pleasant, Sulphur Springs, Texas High I dont know if any team in 20-4A could make the playoffs if you added them to that district... That is one INSANE district... Wow...

The Central vs Lumberton game this coming week will play a HUGE role in who goes where in the playoffs...

IMO, the Central vs Lumberton game this next week should be GOTW... Alot riding on this one...

Well IMO game ball tonight goes to the O-line of Vidor... COMPLETE turnaround from Tuesday night... I think we finally showed a semi-sorta balanced offense for once...

Well it's true that their impact in the second half would have showed, but it just looked like the WHOLE lumberton team was out of the second half...

My thoughts on the game... Everyone has spoke about Hannah already, he is an awesome running back but his attitude takes that away... To my pirates... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING second half guys... If only we could play that way in the first and the second, pretty hard to beat that, but a win is a win, especially in this district... I think the O-line deserves ALL the credit, I don't think Teinert was brought down more than twice the entire night passing the ball, and because of the blocking he showed what he could do with it... Defense was the same, couldn't have played a better second half... Excellently called game on offense from Dubois and Bickham, I think we threw about 10 times, and with the blocking those chances payed off... Kicking game has to get better though... As a former kicker even for Vidor, you can't be missing any extra points especially more than 1... I got faith in him though, as a sophomore on varsity things like that are going to happen, but the win is all that matters... All around great performance in the second half... It always feels good looking across to that red and blue and seeing them sitting down and quiet as can be ;D Idk what happened to Lumberton in the second half... Looks like they deflated completely, lost all rhythm and flow in both the offense and defense... If Hannah calms down, and they don't give up in the second half, Lumberton wins alot of their games... CONGRATS PIRATES!!!

Who told you that Lumberton was good? Cause apparently, you were told that yall were good and we weren't. Are you going by records? Yards from Scrimmage? Points allowed? All that good stuff or is it just a gut feeling that you have? Maybe the tooth fairy left a note on your pillow that Lumberton has a good football team? Just wondering where YOU got your info from.. Well lets see -For Lumberton, a team coming off a 3 deep playoff run last year, I have seen all three games in 2008, they get better with each game. Soild team doing many of the things that got them to the playoffs last year. For Vidor, saw the Lum / Vidor game last year (enough said there), for 2008, been watching the opponets and game results (hmmmm). My point to the earlier post was, What is the basis for Vidor folks coming on here and predicting a huge win? I don't get it? IF you were 3-0 and blowing team away I could understand but that has not been the case. I guess a one point loss to Central is a confidence builder. Give me something to try and understand how Vidor will dominate the Raiders. Lumberton fans... Do not listen to the Vidor people coming on here saying it's gunna be a blowout because EVERYONE knows that is not going to happen... But also ya'll have no reason to say it's going to be a blowout either just by basing who has played who in non-district, or by who went to the playoffs last year... If Vidor wins it will be by a TD or less... Which I hope is the case... I just want to see a good game...

no he doesnt... our kicker is terrible... he missed a 26 yarder and about 3 extra points so far this year He is sophomore, and this is his first year to kick... Kicking isn't as easy as you think it is, give him a break... Yeah he missed that FG but it's not the end of the world... And $20 says when he makes one that keeps us in the game, that you say he's one of the best...

Yes EVERYONE on here understands that yall went to the playoffs last year and did pretty good and I give yall all the credit for being able to do that... But the fact of the matter is, the past DOESN'T MATTER! This year is a new year, anything can happen... Jesus Christ... Everything is always last year this, last year that... Get over yourself, and look forward to this weekend instead of last year... And that's all I have to say about that... With that being said, Vidor 21-17 Lumberton... Vidor scores the game winning TD in the last 3 mins... Good luck to my pirates and to Lumberton... Should be a great game...

Wow, what a game... When our line blocked good, Teinert's arm showed up... The last 2 mins of this game was amazing... And as someone earlier said, the missed field goal determined the game... He's only a sophomore kicking on varsity, so in no way is the loss blamed on him, especially on the blocked extra point... Heartbreaker for my Pirates, but a great game nonetheless... Time to look forward to Lumberton this weekend, and knocking them off their high-chairs... Also great game to Central...
