I can't stand the people who let their kids run off unattended and then end up next to me where they won't sit down, shut up or watch the game. My philosophy = If you bring them, you watch them.

The Silsbee Lady Tigers will play Coldspring at 6:00 in Woodville on Monday.

The majority of the people "quelling" the "fracas" were coaches, parents, and fans. These people, along with the Silsbee officer and the Kirbyville officer, had things calmed down before the Jasper police showed up.

The lighting in that picnic table area was also very bad. I could barely see when I was walking out. I had just gotten to my car with my daughter, my 80 year old mother and my 5 month old grandson when the fight broke out. We had two coaches, our principal and our officer walking our boys out of the gym. Our other coach had gone to get the bus. Thankfully, we also had some fans (like ST413) who were able to help as well. We all did our best to get our kids out of harms way and into the buses as quickly as possible. When we thought it had died down, a large group of people rushed the buses and the whole thing started up again. It was very scary. The two Jasper administrators that were at the game did their best to control their students.

I would add Anshawnique Morrisey of Silsbee.  She placed at STATE in two sports,  Powerlifting and Discus.

The Enterprise completely skipped volleyball this year.  No Super Gold team for them at all.

Anshawnique Morrisey won the discus Friday at the Regional meet with a toss of 121'9".  An all around student athlete, Morrisey has already competed at the state level this year in Powerlifting and Choir.  On Saturday, Ashley Johnson won the high jump and the 200 meter dash to advance to Austin! Congrats to both of these young women and good luck at STATE!
