Gotta disagree with you Bleed. This is the All-District TEAM. Not the all district starting five. Silsbee took a whole benchload of kids to the state tournament not just the starting five. Let's give all these kids their due. Congrats Everyone!!!!!

I believe they are Co-Champs and this game was just to decide which team goes into the playoffs as the number one seed. So, Congratulations to the Hawks and the Tigers! These two teams always keep it interesting!

Game was played tonight in Silsbee. Silsbee eighth grade A team won. I think the score was 75-22. Undefeated District Champs!! Way to go guys!

Lauren is a fierce competitor. She did a great job tonight on the basketball court against the Lady Tigers. I wish more girls had the competitive spirit and heart that this young lady has. I can't wait to see her on the softball field this year.

Silsbee 8th grade A team defeated HJ 50-35 last night. Great game to watch. HJ has some very tall players.

Silsbee 8th grade A team defeated Hamshire-Fannett last night. Can't remember the final score but it was something like 52-36.

Silsbee 8th grade A team defeated Bridge City last night(12/13/07) by a score of 55 to 40. Quick hands of the Silsbee guards and great boards by the big guys were responsible for this victory. Good job Bridge City. You have a very talented team. Special thanks to all the fans who did a good job of cheering on both teams.

Orangefield 7th grade boys A team defeated Silsbee Silsbee 7th grade boys B team defeated Orangefield Orangefield 8th grade boys B team defeated Silsbee Silsbee 8th grade boys A team defeated Orangefield For their first game of the season, the Silsbee 8th grade A team looked really good. Orangefield has some talent and will do well in the future. Both teams have some tall kids with BIG feet!!

Lots of fans showed up from Winnie to support their team. Silsbee always has a good crowd and tonight was no different. The Tigers looked good tonight! Keep it up Tigers!

Silsbee has an awesome team, but they lost more than one player last year. Fowler, Buckley, Tyler, Brydson, and Wineland all contributed greatly to the success of last years team. The young girls we have this year are doing a great job of filling those spots. With Ang as their leader, they can't miss!

Silsbee beat Anahuac at the Nederland Tournament

Silsbee wins a nail biter! With about three seconds to go, Hemphill hits a two point shot to go ahead 48-47. Silsbee inbounded the ball and tried to head down court but were stopped by the bench players from Hemphill who had run onto the floor. A technical was called on the Hemphill team and Ang Green went to the line for Silsbee to shoot the free throws. Ang knocked down both free throws to put the Lady Tigers ahead 49-48. Silsbee was then able to run out the last 1.5 seconds to win their home opener for the 2007-2008 season. Hemphill has an awesome team and # 11 can play! Ang was GREAT! As usual! I was really impressed by the rest of the Lady Tigers who showed they came to play tonight! Congrats to Coach Killam and Coach Leach on two victories tonight. Good Luck to the Hemphill team for the rest of the season.
