True fans travel & we are only talking like a little more than an hour away....(I have seen many people car pool no issue) The State Game isn't played in SETX so I'm not sure what the issue is. The farther you go as a team, the farther you will travel. Also playing local increases chance of a fight starting from people that are not Mustang or Tiger fans. My opinion I think Texan Drive Stadium is the better option.

That might be true & WOS has a chance to win the game but it will not be given to them. Do you mind answering a few questions: Did you go watch the last match-up between Silsbee & WOS? After watching that game did you feel that WOS owned Silsbee? Tell me how is it that BC gets all those extra weeks as a full team on the hardwood & still can't compete against Silsbee?

Have you been to Texan Drive Stadium? PNG is local but to me that is the only benefit & I think the opportunity for a fight has decreased with the decision. Texan Drive Stadium provides a better Videoboard, Sound System, Facility, Hospitality, Parking, etc... When teams keep on advancing so should the facilities & Texan Drive Stadium is just the better one.

Silsbee beat a supposedly elite Jack Yates squad deeper than anyone in 4a. I wouldn't think #1 4a team in state would be just a solid team.

Yeah it happens.... I remember watching a more talented 2006-2007 Silsbee Basketball team lose at the regional finals in OT. They should have won state that year.

I have watched both of them & don't think you can easily pick an obvious winner. Bottom line is that whoever brings the A game in the playoffs will more often win.

I remember the 8 to 20 page Silsbee vs HJ topics of the past. Silsbee fans would always bring up the better head-to-head record & HJ would always reply back with asking if Silsbee has ever won a State Championship lol. Seems like everything died down once Silsbee finally did it or maybe even before that when they no longer had to face each other in district.

Last time I watched Yates play was in the Regional Finals. But you said after the Houston Christian game nobody else has come close to beating them. How many of those nobody else’s are 6A or ranked teams? Also I know what type of players Houston Christian has on their team.... I saw them when Silsbee matched up last year. 6’0 6’3 6’4 hhhmmm seems like this will be a great match up if it happens.

Yates must have added more players if they are bigger & better as stated. I only remember 1 Player that was taller than anyone on on the Tigers roster last year. I know your saying that Yates is better in your eyes right now but can you tell me how many ranked 6A & 5A teams they have played so far? Also how did they do against Houston Christian.... did you watch that game? I think we still have a lot more ball to play. Looking forward to this matchup & think that whoever plays their best will come out on top.

I don’t think the Tigers will see a challange until Regional Finals. Bet the Lions can still recall Bush making those 4th Q 3s last year. Silsbee will be ok just missing those hungry seniors from last year but these guys will find their way.

Don't worry you can bet that the local sports reporters, KFDM, 12news & fox4 will be at the HJ match-up if it happens. You will see HJ scoring from all over the court with them showing Silsbee only making like 2 buckets & then they will say HJ almost had it. Typical coverage for Silsbee lol

I agree these Seniors will be missed. Don't see the Tigers being able to put a fresh 5 on & take 5 off the court against 6A / tough 4A teams next year. Silsbee will still be a force with Devon McCain, Jordyn Adams, Braelon Bush & Kalon Barnes returning. Not sure if Tyler, Martin, Adonis, Bass or Jones will fill the 5th starting spot. If the returning Silsbee Tigers improve in the off-season they will make it to state next year. I think Dallas Lincoln will be hurting the most after this season with Kortrijk Miles, Jeremiah Whitaker, Tacorian Jones & more leaving.

0.001% Chance LCM makes it to the Regional Finals. Huffman, Hardin-Jefferson, Yates, North Forest, etc.... would knock this LCM team out of the playoffs
