1.
I heard some of the silsbee players saying that they were upset with the way they played the first time. They felt that they let HJ stay in the game to long and that they should have pull away in the first half. Dont know if that will happen but I look for them to come out early and try to put HJ away . If HJ can stand that first big push they may have a chance to win this one. But if Silsbee gets a 10+ point lead this one will be over. I just dont see Silsbee giving up a lead with the team speed they have.
Yeah I am sure you and the silsbee players have lots of conversations!!! ::)
Wasn't talking about the athletes, I was talking about the student population in general.
Exactly my point when I say you don't know what is going on.  There are many students who are not athletes who stay on campus at Lamar every weekend.  Throw in the several thousand students that live in surrounding areas and you have most of the campus partying on the weekends.  However, when you are recruited to a University you meet the some of the athletes on your particular athletic team and generally meet several other athletes because they all live in the same area.  When you become an athlete at Lamar and any other University the Athletes are like their own fraternity.  They have classes together, hang out, throw parties together, and so on and so on.  My point is you are saying a kid would not come to Lamar because students don't stay there on the weekend.  I am telling you that you are wrong.  There was something to do every single weekend at Lamar as an athlete.........whether it was our own party or a fraternity party or anything else.  Those are just facts.

Try getting school colors next time. Maybe those will sell better. Fruit of the Loom grey shirts with iron on logos was so 1993. What, you get those 3 in a pack for 9.99 at Walmart? Yes I'm going off just because you spoke out of line. Why not spray paint.a logo on the shirt they already have on for 6 bucks. Duuurrrrrr! Was Walmart sold out of grey tank tops?
It is for Operation Graduation for both schools. I see $15 dollars going to a good cause, not to buy a T-shirt. To me, the shirt is secondary. BTW, the shirts are of better quality than the Hanes 3 in-a pack T's at WalMart. ;)
Can't wait to hear BADSANTA crawfish out of this one!!!!!  I just figured him being the Philanthropic man he is $15 for a tshirt to support a school wouldn't be a big deal.  No harm meant ;)

I am not the one making the shirts.  However, I will support the school and buy one.  Can't take a joke clearly!!!  Funny stuff!!!
 8. Anyone that would ever dispute the fact that Coach English is a great man and Coach is crazy.  Proof is in the W's and what former players say about him.
You mean like, Bart Simpson saying, "Don't HAVOC Cow, Man, Beat them Longhorns!". Yeah, that could work!
That isn't exactly what I was thinking but that was freaking hilarious!!!!!!!

 11. I know for a fact that the schedule can still be changed.  However I was told they were changing for a home game because we were short one game.  From the horses mouth!
 12.
Grey shirts! With Black on the back. For 15 bucks?
Don't buy one!  Of course a man with your sort of means shouldn't be worried about the cost of a T-Shirt right? :o
 13. 14.
Center's basketball team learned prior to the Central game that one of their starters, J'von Jones was diagnosed with leukemia. Our hearts and prayers go out to this young man and his family as they travel to Saint Jude's Hospital in Memphis.
Terrible to hear!!!!  He and his family are in our prayers!!!
 15. Or you can ask Todd Dodge!!!
 16.
Does success at the HS level necessarily translate to success at the college level?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 18.
BigRed360, I said for people to continue to go to games they will have to continue recruiting from this area or recruit five star players. Everybody wants them going to the WAC and other mid major conferences, so LU will have to recruit better. Thats just my opinion and it's way different then yours. Figured you to be a yankee by your mouth. Sorry you get your feelings hurt when someone says thier opinion, but if if your going to sit thier and say that watching Lamar football this year was like watching college football your kidding yourself. I don't care how [roud you are of LU and your family track record. I just want to see LU drastically improve the football program to compete year in year out. I didn't expect them to be a top notch team the first year, but I was surprised at the lack of fundementals that I observed.
There aren't any FIVE STAR recruits going to any southland school you idiot!!!!  This shows your lack of knowledge right here!!!
 19. stupid???  Now you really got him!!
 20.
Sleepy, I have never seen you at a pro am. If your that good, why aren't you a golf pro at the country clubs? I'm calling you out buddy!
Because they make nothing and work more hours than anyone else in this world.  I like to make money.  Just so you know being a head golf professional means nothing.  There is not one in this town that can beat me.
 21. Hey malcolm............see if this scares your "boys" away.  Last time I played Idylwild I shot a 61 with a bogie.  Don't think they will want to bet after they hear that!  Me, by myself and not with a partner.  If you will throw some of your own personal money in that will really motivate me!!!
 22.

According to my sources who frequent the shorthorn gym, the "run to the top" might have received a slight setback tonight?
Yeah slightly - Henderson had the audacity to show up & win by two.
That coupled with HJ having a better freshman group currently may produce a problem for the "Future State Champs."
 23.
I haven't seen these two teams so I can't predict a score. But I think you know who I will be cheering for on game night ;)
I just hope HJ isn't caught overlooking WOS for that big matchup with HF next Friday  ;D
 24. As a former "local" Lamar athlete that won't fly and the coaches know that.  If they want local talent they have to treat them like they are anyone else.  This has been part of the problem with the basketball program.  They have lost several kids who were locals that they thought they could get to walk on and they ended up going to another southland school and biting them in the behind.
 25. Johnson already having a big effect on the program before ever playing a down.  Impressive!
