Vidor will have trouble with Sweetenham as PNG with Hester.

As most big games on Tues or Friday in district, defense wins the game.
Hester wins...Sweet want have another game like last Friday...Just my opinon..If it comes down to coaching I am going with Green :o But P.N.G does have a solid defence but......I got to roll with my KIN FOLK ;D MEAN GREEN GO GET "EM" CUZ
Don't underestimate sweet.  He is a very good pitcher, and gets overshadowed a lot by the other pitchers in the district.  He is a competitor, and will be ready to shut down that anemic vidor offense.
Anemic? Wow have you seen the points they have put up?
POINTS ???
Port Neches-Groves has scored 24 runs through three district ball games, proof that it can hit when it needs to. The same can be said for Vidor, which has scored 33 runs over the same period.
33 runs against what teams?
ozen 12-0, central 19-4, lumberton 2-1.

So in 28 years they only made playoffs twice.
i think four or five times....but still out of almost 30 years i would have thats slackin.  i have lots love for ktz in all aspects but i call em as i see em.
  3. i think you missed that i said always seem sub-par....williams has been there since the start of ktz!!!  im not saying that hes not a good coach because he is a good one...he was actually one of my favs there.  the baseball program has improved no doubt...its the whole system i was talking about
  4. yes, if they wanted to!  if they looked for baseball, football coaches like they do basketball then yeah this would expand the whole sports program at ktz and make it better.  im going to say that maybe 3 or 4 kids off the basketball team play other sports, if they do its probably track....atleast thats the way it was when i went there...ktz just needs coaching thats it...they have the talent in the kids....coaching plays a big big part no matter what you say...the kids may play the game but they have to play the game the coaches call.
  5. I went to ktz from k-12 im going to say they need to cancel football and add a swimming team.  the problem with ktz is that they are used to losing football games.  ive heard this statement so much on the football field...."yeah you beat us in football just wait until basketball season"  i liked playing football.  i didnt like losing so i didnt play my junior or senior year plus i didnt like who the head coach was at that time.  if you play ktz in football all you have to do is stop TWO plays.....32 dive and 28 toss...that seems to be only plays that williams calls..when we had hancock as quarterback he has a solid WR core around him but we didnt throw the ball...why...who knows?  he had c. morgan, i. morgan, j. drake, c. read, j mcneil kids who were fast and could catch the ball if you put anywhere near them.  not to mention the 00-02 teams should have made the playoffs...this sounds stupid but these teams went like 23-4 until they got to the varisty  level.  ktz has the kids just the coaching needs to improve.

  6. 1.     PN-G.....seems to be very solid this year and is it showing it big time in 20-4a.

    2.     Orangefield ... power and smarts will get this team to State.

    3.     Vidor...looks to stay perfect in a tough 20-4a.

    4.     Westbrook...with deep pitching WB could be a sleeper in the playoffs.

    5.     Nederland....needs a win next.

    6.     Bridge City...will go as far as matt hicks will take him.

    7.     Jasper...1-9 can put it over the fence

    8.     LC-M...has a tough couple of games coming soon.

    9.     Buna...should win the district.

    10.    Evadale...small school that plays big.
