By my Bobcats last night. Kids put it all together, great line play and all of our backs ran extremely hard last night. At times HF had no clue who had the ball and several times our backs ran right by their guys as they were still looking in the backfield. Great game plan last night and it's a blast watching our offense when we  execute like we did last night. Good to see some kids back from injuries and that showed last night. Been a rough year for these kids with the tough schedule and injuries and it would have been very easy for them to get down, but they play hard every week and they will have a say in that last playoff spot!!

Jasper is good, and has a chance to be very good!!! The Orangefield game was one of those snowball games, things started out badly for my Cats and they just keep getting worse. Jasper scores on first drive in like 5 plays, kick off and two plays later we fumble inside 30. On 3rd and long Jasper scores on a tip pass that if it's not tipped they don't score, 14-0 Jasper. Next kickoff we muff the ball and it rolls in the endzone, we bring it out instead of kneeling in the endzone. We start that drive at the 5 yard line, after a 15 yard shanked punt Jasper takes over inside the 30 once again. Touchdown Jasper 21-0, on the ensuing kickoff we again muff it and instead of bringing the ball out or kneeling it we just allow Jasper to recover the ball for another touchdown...Jasper 28-0!!! And there's still over 8 minutes to play in the first quarter. Jasper still wins this game regardless, even if we don't have those early mistakes because they were simply the better team, but the game should have been a lot more competitive. Until we stop turning the ball over and stop making mental mistakes this team is gonna struggle. But I believe our staff will work all these kinks out, we're young but we've got some talent and we'll definitely compete for a playoff spot!!!

Hats off to the Bucs, they have a very solid football team that's only gonna get better as the year goes on. I haven't seen their schedule but I don't see them losing anytime soon. Very balanced team that can put it in the air or of course hand it off to the best back in the area. He's really fun to watch and he had some amazing runs last night...good luck to the Bucs!!! Very proud of my Cats last night, they never quit and played really well the second half. Can't spot a team like EC 20 points and expect to win, so we have to limit the turnovers and mistakes but we will. Played a little short handed last night with starting tailback and guard on the sidelines, but we had some kids step up last night and perform really well. If we can survive the next two weeks and stay healthy we're definitely gonna be in it for a playoff spot and who knows we could give the two big boys at the top a run for their money!!!

I helped coach Katie in little dribblers back in the day and you knew then that she was going to be a great player and coach some day. She was like our coach on the court, always knew not only her job or role but everyone else's on the team. She wasn't loaded with talent, she worked her tail off to become that great player, and she'll coach and prepare her teams that same way. I'm sure having played for Coach Ancelot we'll see a lot of her style of play, but she did play college ball too and I'm sure as much basketball as she's seen over the years, she'll have her own little twist on things. She's gonna be out prove something and I'm not sure that anyone is going to out work her!!! She's ready and she wants to be here, that goes such a long way!!! Welcome home Katie Jo!!!
