It's called jealousy. Teams need to find something negative to say about Wo-s so they can feel that maybe their team will have a chance to beat them. Kirbyville fell victim to this believing the hype of people (who probably never seen Wo-s play), saying that they couldn't score. They came on here talking all kinds of noice and see what happened to them against an offense that can't score. Wo-s can pass the ball, passes get overthrown and dropped sometimes, but that's happening with all teams i'm sure. What people are failing to mention though, (cause they are too busy trying to find something negative to say) is that Wo-s receivers are beating defenders by about ten yards each time, just some passes get overthrown. As the season goes on, those passes will connect. No team in this district will put alot of points up against this defense and you won't stop the runniing game that we have with the big three, so why pass?

Exactly, I want to see what Johnson can do against a real defense like he will face against Wo-s. I gaurantee he won't have no where near the numbers that he has been putting up.

I think Lcm put a lot into beating Wo-s this year. When that didn't happen, I think they lost confidence in themselves.

I think my prediction was 30-7 Wo-s...I had it almost exactly right.

Wo-s had everything to do with you not playing your best game. Like people tried to express to you since you started running your mouth. You hadn't played anybody up to this point and it showed. So next year, when it comes to Wo-s, you might want to not say much because every year, you make yourself look foolish. Wo-s is still your daddy I don't usually just come on here and talk noice, but you and a couple others from Kirbyville had it coming. You said a lot more than a prediction, you was downright disrespectful and you made yourself look foolish once again. HF looked better against us defensively than you did and you and Jasper had the best defense in the district? I think it showed that Wo-s has put even more distance between the two teams...you were no match. Next year don't listen to all the negative comments. I think you and a lot of people fell victim to people telling you that Wo-s couldn't score this year. They showed that they can score when they execute their plays. We still dropped two many passes and fumbled a few too many times cause this game should have been even uglier than this scorewise. Those mistakes will not be made as the season goes on. It's been very obvious from reading these post by these Kirbyville fans that they are very dillusional, it started when they said they and jasper had the best defenses in the district. lol... now that's funny. These Kirbyville fans are trying to convince themselves because if your really confident, you don't have to come on here and post all day everyday...you do your talking on the field which Wo-s knows how to do very well.

Kelly isn't and haven't been at the level of Wo-s. I would like to see Wo-s put Lamarque back on their schedule...I loved that rivalry. We don't have as good a fan turn out as we use to and I'm sorry, but Kelly isn't going to bring that back. We need teams that is going to push us to the limit in non-district, so while Kelly might be pretty good, let's keep it real...they couldn't give Wo-s enough of a challenge. If we play Lamarque or someone like that, it should be played on a Saturday during the day.

Well, I know for a fact that Kelly tried to recruit my cousin who plays for a local school, so somebody is doing some illegal things there.

My only problem has always been our predictability on offense. I was never going to call for somebodies job. I don't think people are so upset about losiing cause anybody would have to be crazy to think you will go every year and not lose a game...that's unrealistic. I think most of the frustration comes from how we keep losing, it seems it has become repetative, with the same questionable calls. Your right, it's over, our offense will get better and we will light up the scoreboard in district.

As Long as Coach Thompson is there...I think most fans would be okay. Everybody knows that he is the backbone of our team and has always been. Look at what we looked like when he was gone.

Yes enrollment is right and if you look at the school down the street, you'll see where they went. I know a few personally and they made it clear why they left.

Nobody is saying that Dpg is the whole team...of course not. He is their most dangerous player though so all I'm saying is move him around a little to keep the defense guessing. Line him up at wide out and have his little brother in the backfield sometimes. You have to be unpredictable and we have become very predictable. No... not getting a state championship isn't a failure, but losing games that you shouldn't because your afraid that you don't have the personell and playing overly conservative will only spell failure for your team. Go all out in the pre-district and let your guys make their mistakes so they don't make them in district and so that they are use to running several different plays. It's really bad when people in the stands are calling out what play is about to be ran just from seeing how the players are lining up. If we can do that, most who don't even know plays, but know what is about to happen and it happens, then how easy is it for the opposing teams and coaches? predictable...you can't be that.

MAYBE YOU GUYS NEED TO GO TO YOUR OWN TEAMS BOARD AND STAY OFF OURS, THE FORUM HAS LOTS OF COMPLAINING...NOT JUST WO-S FANS....BUT WE DO HAVE OUR RIGHT TO VOICE OUR OPINION. No one is saying that the Oc is 100% to blame, but history doesn't lie. When he was at Lcm, they had serious issues competing and they definately couldn't score. As soon as he leaves, they improve and now Wo-s have these issues...coincidence? I think not. He definately makes it harder on DPg. They are stacking the box against him because teams know the Oc doesn't have the guts to go deep on first down. What do he think throwing the ball to the sideline is going to do all game long? Teams is surely going to stack the line when all they know is going to happen is a) a handoff up the middle or a sideline throw. Dpg can catch the ball...try throwing some short passes to him to atleast let the other teams fearful of him moving around...they will have to drop people back then. We have some good receivers, no Blue chips yet cause they are stiil young, but they will make plays. You can't have a young Qb only throwing the ball when it's 3rd and long...what kind of pressure do you think he is going to be under then? of course he's going to throw interceptions. As a Qb, you have to be able to get in a rhythm throwing the ball. I'm sure everybody have noticed how the fan support has really dropped off since he's been there because people are frustrated. Lcm is getting alot of our players...why do you think that is? Maybe he was use to being happy just to make the playoffs when he was at Lcm, but over here...that's like a losing season to us. Yes, Dan hooks has to shoulder some of the blame because he's allowing it to go on.

I agree. You mean to tell me you can get all these offensive and defensive coaches in here to build a successful team, but you can't find any decent kicking coach to come here? It's like we've totally given up on having a decent kicking game at Wo-s and that's not good.

Maybe because he's Hooks brother in Law is why he's okay with him. We're tired of the family favoritizm going on at Wo-s. It's either coaches are related or sons getting starting positions when they shouldn't...enough is enough. I agree with the people that said playcalling has hurt us. How are you going to have 3rd and 11 deep in your opponents territory with not much time left and you call for a 25 to 30 yard pass in the endzone? You already know your in four down territory, your going to go for it on forth down no matter what, so why not get half of what you need and make forth down managable? So instead of having a forth and five, we ended up with a forth and ten which is very difficult to get. You have a young team and a young Qb who never had the pressures of varsity football. Don't put that kind of pressure on him cause only bad things is going to happen. Take what the defense gives you. I think if Hippo put a little air under his passes and let's his receivers run under them, then they will definately light up the scoreboard, because everytime he passes, our Wr's have a couple of steps atleast on the corners. The defense is awesome. There was a couple of times the offense went three and out and they still stopped Bay City from scoring. You have to give Bay City coaches credit for making a half time adjustment by putting Three Wr's on us to try and spread us out, which they did and got a Td. Wo-s coaches did a good job after that to adjust to that and keep them from scoring again...unfortunately our offense couldn't capitalize on their opportunities. They will be fine though, they got a taste of how losing feels and I'm sure they will work hard not to experience that again.

Thank you so much for this...I get so sick and tired of people assuming that if you graduated from Wo-s that you are a great athlete, but your not getting a good education. It's especially sad coming from an African American man, who should have sense enough to know better than to put out such ignorance. You have done a great job with your sons and so have many other parents of Wo-s students. I'm sure Lcm and Bridge City have there fair share of students flunking out and dropping out for that matter.

I predict 3A WOS in an upset over 4A LCM on their home turf This wouldn't be an upset

Dayton will win.

"Any team that loses their starting two linebackers for the 2nd half will not be the same." Okay, can we stop with this excuse already...it's really getting played out. Wo-s lost their best player in the first half. Had to depend on a running back, a quarterback, a back up quarterback and several other players who haven't played a game on varsity to win. Not having the two linebackers had nothing to do with why Dayton got shutout in the second half...the better team won...period. I'm sorry, but I see so many excuses made by different teams on here for the reason their team lost. Wo-s could have said it was pouring down raining was the reason they couldn't score or stop Dayton from scoring in the first half, but it was because of the fact that Dayton just came out and put it on them in the first half. Wo-s made adjustments like they always do and they played in the second half like they know they can play. They didn't say oh our best player is out, we're down 14 points so we don't have a chance. Other players saw this as an opportunity to show what they could do and that's why they won. Dayton has a great team. They look about as good as last year, so Central will not just roll against them and I don't see Nederland beating them. Seems like teams think because they lost to a "3a" school, they must be down. They lost to us last year and they still won the district. I know alot of these teams in 22AAAA memory isn't that bad. They know what Wo-s has done to them over the years, nothing has changed...they are still the same Wo-s... Dayton will be fine.

Wo-s has plenty of weapons to work with...it will be just as hard for Dayton to stop their offense as it will for Wo-s to stop theres. I don't think they care about whether they are in the favorite or underdog role, Wo-s will play with the same intensity.
