  1. My thread was not, as you suggested, a bit of race bait ( that is a fairly standard response from those who see everything through a racial prism) The intent of it was to suggest that deeds are more powerful than words ( especially words that are taken out of context and twisted- such as " I am sure there are good people on both sides". If one wants to badly enough, he can interpret any word or action as something racist. I've mentioned this before but am repeating just in case you weren't around. A number of years ago, we were having a discussion on this board about families. I mentioned that often times, hate is taught by parents ( perhaps not always intentionally) and that is passed on to their young. The individual with whom I was having the discussion IMMEDIATELY responded that saying "young" rather than kids had a racist inference by suggesting those folks were animals. Nothing was further from the truth, but thats how that individual chose to view it. From my viewpoint, that is pure despairation to find a way to allege racism when it simply did not exist. The title of my thread was intentional because I believe, especially in the political world, that racism, sexism, homophobia are terms that have become too common and used to much and the elections seemed to have validated my theory. Now, please take a few minutes and let me know precisely how you "know" I am a racist and, by the way, my like or dislike fro trump proves ZERO
  2. BearEssentials- Now that we know just how much you "know" about many of us and what we think, I want to thank you. Because, through your posts, you have made it quite obvious to all exactly how you think.
  3. That's because you are a racist. Even though you don't act like one, "some" seem to know how you really think.
  4. It is so very amazing that you somehow "know" how everyone else thinks. Where did you acquire that unique ability?
  5. Dove, how can that be? He was a Democrat. I thought it was well established ( in the minds of many) that only Republicans are racist? ( don't allow Thurmond or Robert Byrd to ruin that "theory")
  6. Sir, there aren't many things I understand well but the economy is one of them. Intellectually dishonest sounds great but I am afraid you don't even know what you are saying when you make that statement. Obama inherited an economy at the absolute bottom of a recession. We ALWAYS recover from a recession as evidenced by the undeniable FACT that there has NEVER been one from which we didn't recover. The "recovery" was a very weak one ( as documented by the GDP facts that I gave you.) It doesn't take a brain surgeon to understand that the recovery was attributable to the cyclicality of the economy rather than who was piloting the airplane. The recovery could/should have been much more vibrant but too many taxes and regulations limited that recovery. Permit me to remind you that the "wave" Trump is riding is one where the GDP declined from 2013 to 2014, 2015 to 2015, and 2016. It is "intellectually dishonest" to characterize that as a wave.
  7. The Widest barometer reflecting the health of the economy is GDP..Mr. Obama is the ONLY president since world war 11 who DID NOT have a single year where the economy grew at 3% or better. From 2014 to 2016, the GDP, while positive, was declining progressively from the prior year. The tax cuts not only raised the take home pay of nearly every employed American, it also brought about hundreds of companies giving their employees $1000 year end bonuses. Sorry, sir but that "aint trash" As for "screwing the working man":, all he has done is make sure there are more working men than there were when he took office. For the first time in a very long time, there are more jobs available than people unemployed. That too, "aint trash" Lets debate this further. I am very conversant with the inner workings of the economy and would like to have more exchanges with you about it.
  8. What? How dare you thank him? Don't you realize that he sometimes is "mean"?
  9. Oh how wonderful it is to be an indoctrinee!!
  10. So your time is too valuable? Or do you simply not have what I asked you for? Its real easy to make claims( like Obama is a Muslim or is not a legitimate U.S. citizen) but not nearly as easy to document them. If I am understanding you correctly, you feel that blacks, during the Obama term, were better off from an employment standpoint than they are now? You feel that the fact that the blacks, Hispanics, other minorities as well as Caucasians taking home more money due to reduced taxes and fewer regulations is somehow attributable to Obama rather than Trump. If you honestly believe all of this, please tell me how the release of 3 prisoners in N. Korea and the 1 in Venezuela is attributable to Mr. Obama- Yes, please tell me IF you have any time left out of your "precious time". And, by the way, thank you for honoring Mr. Obamas request that all citizens practice civility and tolerance. I am sure that declaring Mr. Trump "a racist piece of trash" certainly meets those requirements.
  11. Do tell. Please provide a couple of instances with concrete examples rather than simply repeating the mantra drummed into you by the media. Black unemployment at lowest rate since records have been kept. I guess that and the above are the "broke clock" examples, right?
  12. If you here from Big Girl, you will be told she cant trust the source of the info since it is not MSNBC or Thinkprogress.org
  13. There are now more job openings in this country than there are unemployed people. Some might call this "walking the walk" rather than "talking the talk".
  14. What rights/liberties and property that you had in 2015 do you no longer have? How did you lose them? Addtionally, please check out Mr. Trumps grant of clemency to Alice Marie Johnson. I thought this could not happen under the evil Trump.
  15. Sounds like a certain former President who stated that while he tried Marijuana, he never inhaled.
  16. NEVER, EVER underestimate the heart of the Gestapo.
  17. Sorry Dove, but I am reasonably confident that Mr. Hanson does not understand America any more than I do.
  18. There are now more job openings in this country than there are unemployed people. Some might call this "walking the walk" rather than "talking the talk".
  19. Thinking they will be best girls team in area regardless of classification
  20. And of course, the judges will need to be well versed on white privilege.
  21. But he has not been able to institute a good communications program at HJ. After speaking with him, he said to be very aware of the next several years on the girls side. Predicting big success.
