If you had not come on here to ask for my input, subsequent to Tobies "claim" I or one of the other "bad guys" on the board would have said " Tobie, show me where anybody on this board STATED that what Kaepernick did was worse than what Dylan Roof did. I already know the answer to that one but offering Tobie the opportunity to understand he is not dealing in facts but in Hyperbole. At that point, there would have been either total silence from him or some reference to Rosa Parks. I have made a multitude of comments about Mr. Berghdahl since he became news and even more comments about how I felt he had been coddled by the previous administration. Unfortunately, in this society, professional athletes get more attention than the military or any other group of normal folk. I have always been troubled by the pedestal that athletes and movie stars have been put on with constant reinforcement from the media. Forgive me if you consider that I am "wrangling with you". As always, there are two sides to any story and I guess I am on the other side. I was troubled by the suggestion that if I don't call someone out on something that you dislike, my silence somehow means I approve. That would be akin to me suggesting that the refusal of our former president to identify Radical Islamic Terrorism by name, somehow, implies approval.

If my memory is correct, I havent had too many "altercations" with Kountzer and the reason for that is that the bulk of his expressions pertain to religion, the bible, etc and I dont feel sufficiently conversant (in most cases) in that area to offer any resistance. I would like to add, however, that the history light to which you refer applies to EVERYONE and not just those that are accused of being racist every day on this board. Many of the "accusers" should also be cognizant of your statement and not believe that their situation somehow exempts them from the very same scrutiny.
