With your amazing, and unrivaled analytical capabilities, please tell me if Mr. Obama lived up to his promise to have the most transparent administration in history. I would also ask you the same question on his promise to build a 21st century VA. I wont bother you with "if you like your doctor/healthcare plan, you can keep them" or "Benghazi was the result of a spontaneous reaction to an internet video" or " Bowe Bergdahl served this country with honor and distinction.

very good point- you must be a critical thinker
-
Because they are members of a political party ( hint- 8 letters)
-
I wonder if SW1966 considers her to be a critical thinker?
-
SETX fan- the last couple of posts represent my theory that suggests that many of the silent majority are getting fed up and, though very silent in the past, are unlikely to remain that way.
-
Do you think it will change anything? If a taser does not stop a suspect, what "special training" will provide a solution rather than gunfire?
-
I think that history has something to do with it but not as much as you do. I would think the energies devoted to looting, rioting, etc would be much more productive if directed elsewhere. Additionally, those tactics are, at some point, going to cause an uprising from the silent majority who, to this point, have been guilted out of responding to anything. There are far far more "silent majority" members than you can imagine. Once their breaking point is hit, katy bar the door. Perpetuating the belief to the younger generation that "whitey is out to get you" does not improve their circumstances and suggests to them that their "plight" is inescapable for that reason. Plenty of people have already proven that theory wrong( Condoleeza Rice, Ben Carson, Robert Johnson,etc.etc.) but they are always criticized and vilified by the majority of those who speak for the black community. Do you honestly believe that a policeman, who has a fear of losing his job, ought to avoid interaction with a criminal because of his skin color? Will that make the city or state or country safer? There are going to be more deaths of black men shot by policemen just as there are going to me more deaths of whites, hispanics, Asians, etc. BLM and riots will NOT change that FACT. Isn't a better solution to try to find a way to keep people from putting themselves in positions that force them to interact with peace officers? Solutions ought to be forward looking rather than the opposite.
-
I am sure it does have some relevance. But the solution does not lie in burning cities and tearing down statues. Both are simply symbolic and do not address the problem. If you believe that ultimately you are going to have to do it yourselves, I think you are going about it wrong.
-
Thats because many "believe" that it really isn't his fault. There are underlying circumstances in the history of this country responsible for that act. The sad part is that continues to be taught(either directly or by example) to the young ones who will grow up perpetuating that theory.
-
AS long as you believe it is always the fault of someone else, the problem isn't going away.

How do you eliminate number 2? What needs to be done that isnt being done? How many new housing projects ( with special rental provisions) have been erected around this country? How much aid to dependent children has been provided across the country? How much has been spent on food stamps everywhere? You will find a way to deny it has happened but it has and obviously has not been the answer. Tell me the solution. [Hidden Content]

SETX fan will tell you that racist history in America is why this happened and therefore, the suspect was not at fault
-
Why is it easier for some to make decisions than others? Give me an example. You suggesting I am delusional is the height of hypocrisy. Tell me why what happens in Chicago every weekend is the fault of someone other than the perpetrators.
-
Just another peace loving citizen minding his own business when two police officers tried to kill him
-
But its not their fault. They only do it because of "economic disenfranchisement"

More systemic racism: [Hidden Content]

Both of the incidents mentioned happened long before BLM movement became prominent in sports. " Black are just better at basketball" Pretty good reasoning' Why doesnt that apply to other parts of life where blacks are not better? I get it. Bringing up percentages of the population when it comes to football coaches and CEOs is reasonable but "being just better" supersedes those theories. Another convenient theory. If it works for me, its all fair and good and when it doesnt work for me, it is the fault of someone else. I am never responsible for my lot in life. The constant black on black murders in Chicago have more to do with redlining than the individuals involved just being thugs. Must be nice to truly and honestly believe that one is responsible for all successes and not responsible for all failures/shortcomings
