Congrats on your new found compassion.

And the same NFL that had no objection to the St. Louis Rams coming onto the field portraying the "EXTREMELY FALSE narrative of hands up, don't shoot.
-
Not sure- I am really out of touch because I was not aware there were "3 or so", But, if that is correct, maybe they wanted an education that placed greater emphasis on communications.

Yes it does.

I think what troubles them most is the change in values taking place in this country. If there is a safety problem , I have to believe that there is a better way of dealing with it. Here are a few other "ironies" that trouble many of us about the path that we are on. 1..The NFL denies the Dallas Cowboys the right to put a small emblem on their helmets to honor police but has nothing to say about the Colin Kaepernick incident or the St. Louis Rams entering the playing field with their hands up in the air in order to support a 100% false narrative. 2. Colorado legalizes Marijuana while the mayor of New York wants to ban Big Gulp soft drinks because "he" thinks it will reduce obesity. 3..Everyone recognizes the names Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin while hardly anyone has the slightest idea who Kate Steinle was. 4. Chris Kyle was branded a coward and Kaitlan Jenner was celebrated for her "courage"

Has your son ever been shot at due to looking suspicious? How do you" know" who does and who doesn't make the affirmative action assumption about how your son got into Baylor? When someone clutches their purse, why is it that you assume that aforementioned clutching is attributable to skin color?
-
Yes, banning the flag is certainly a load of crap. Congratulations on a sensible post!!!!!!

Everyone has essentially been taught that they are a victim and that this country is unfair and I am pretty confident that it is NOT the FAULT of George Bush.
-
Why don't you know about Obama's actions on the cop situation? You seem pretty well versed and are willing to comment on all of the other controversial issues.

They must admire Colin Kaepernick

Is there less enthusiasm than normal for the upcoming season?

In the eyes of the left, doing something about healthcare costs means exercising some sort of government price controls or adding regulation after regulation after regulation. This DOES NOT work. In fact, it makes the very costs higher rather than lower. The solution for health care costs is increased competition. If the FDA had only approved a couple of the competitors for the Epipen, the price would be lower now rather than higher. And the only thing that went up regarding epipen was the LIST price, which nobody pays anyway. Since you are revealing the news about the CEO pay hike, why don't you also reveal that Mylan announced a generic version of epipen today that will be sold for half of what the epipen is selling for?

Trying to but you wont answer my question (s)

Then, if I am understanding you correctly, you have never made a statement/inference that other posters on this board make posts with racial undertones?
-
PamFam- Along that same subject line, please take the last ten or twenty pages of posts on this board and give me a concrete example of racism being practiced by one of the posters ( unless, of course, you are suggesting/insisting that you have never made any statement/inference about racism within those twenty pages)

“When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - When you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - When you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you - When you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - You may know that your society is doomed.” ― Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

Looks to me like many governments have run out of arrows for their quivers. Maybe it's a mistake to believe that government can solve all ills. Maybe government is part of the problem rather than the solution. Lack of growth is what is hurting most economies around the world. From my perspective, more taxes and more regulations are not the answer as the current state of our economy and world economy proves. Maybe we should get real adventuresome and let the various economies work with less government intrusion rather than more. I wonder if regulations were reduced and taxes were reduced, what kind of impact would that have on growth? Hmmmmmmmm

That would be the blind leading the visually impaired.

So we are now measuring and quantifying racism based on tweets during an election? Very reliable methodology. I would also like to know how you determined that SE Texas was the worst part of Texas? Would your source be, once again, guys at work? For someone who claims to be "above" the various televesion news organizations and more objective in his evaluations, your source and methodology for this inference needs to be reconsidered.

I am also for helping others who need help. The question then becomes, should I give this needy individual a fish or should I help him learn how to fish?

I am looking at a chart as I write this but don't know how to post it since it is not internet based. It was given to me in a booklet that I received when in Chicago in August and listening to a widely known and pretty well respected economist. The chart has two lines on it. One represents goods producing jobs and the other represents Government jobs. It goes back to 1985 where it began with the Goods producing jobs well above the Government jobs. They crossed each other in about 2008 or 2009 ( cant be more specific because the years are only identified every five years ( 1985, 1990, 1995,2000,2005,2010,2015) The government jobs line is approximately 205 higher than the good producing jobs line as of 2015.

This article was written by Paul Waldman, a senior Fellow for Media Matters, an organization that had its beginning with the assistance of the Center for American Progress( a Democratic think tank) and some funding from Moveon.org. Of course, the aformentioned organizations "certainly" have no political bias associated with them. Pure and objective as the wind driven snow.
