  1. These days in this country the attitude that seems to be becoming most pervasive is that, with a few exceptions any caucasian( particularly Republicans) is a racist and he/she must "prove" or "demonstrate" that they are not. When it comes to racism, the angry old white guy is now guilty until proven innocent. I have a serious problem with that attitude/assumption and will never submit to it.
  2. Pat McCaughan August 19 at 11:15am ยท Remember this guy? Khizr Kahn and his wife - the "Gold Star" family, who caused such a commotion denouncing Trump for his stand against Muslim immigration at the DNC Convention? Now we learn that not only did the Dems pay actors to fill up seats at their convention, but they paid Khan $25,000 to make that speech. (Which was, by the way, not written by him, but two DNC staffers). Remember the copy of Constitution he held up? (Bought by a staffer two hours before speech). And that's just the tip of the iceberg!..... FIVE Gold Star families turned down the DNC's request to speak at the convention. Khan's law firm is in debt $1.7 million, and owes back taxes of over $850,000 plus penalties. (Which the IRS has put on hold since his convention speech). In addition, the DNC paid him a bonus of $175,000 for his "media effort." AND...CNN paid him over $100,000 for his interviews. NOW who's dishonoring his son's memory? Talk about soulless.
  3. But that wouldn't apply to George Bush, right?
  4. That's a stretch and you know it is. If you want to, you can interpret ( and interpret is the key word) anything said by anyone as somehow having a racial undertone. What is your opinion of the great respect and reverence Mrs. Clinton has uttered in regard to Senator Robert Byrd , former KKK member? ( [Hidden Content])When Mr. Obama won the primary in South Carolina ( in pursuit of his partys nomination), Bill Clinton stated that was to be expected because Jesse Jackson had won there 20 years earlier. I am very confident that, if Mr. Romney or Mr. McCain had made that statement, you would be able to vividly remember it and it would have offended the heck out of you. I am also pretty confident that since it was stated by Mr. Clinton, you do not even remember it and you did not find it offensive in any way.
  5. And that's a sad reflection on our state of affairs. Supposedly, folks like you are supposed to represent objectivity and equality for all. Your statement merely proves that you are swayed by skin color and you will teach your offspring (knowingly or unknowingly) that such an approach is the right one. Addtionally, the election of Mr. Obama provides an indicator that things in this country are not as racist as you portray them to be.
  6. From the article: Bottom Line: It's not fair to blame the debt situation on Obama, singularly because the debt numerically went up more than it did under Bush. Bush inherited a booming economy at the time of his , inaugurationbut his handling of many events left the country absolutely devastated; Hurricane Katrina, 9/11 (two unnecessary wars), and the looming recession. The stock market had three consecutive losing years which were 2000,2001, 2002. Only time in recent history with 3 consecutive losing years. Mr. Bush entered office in January 2001, and the recession "Officially" began within a few weeks. Therefore, it is quite a stretch to suggest that Mr. Bush inherited a "booming economy". If you want to claim that the Obama debt had its seeds planted by Mr. Bush, then you must also agree that the three consecutive negative years in the stock market and the "looming" recession of 2001 had their seeds planted by Bill Clinton.
  7. That may go right over his head.
  8. This one supposedly is a patch for a problem that, if the hackers get in, can grab every single piece of data you have and render your phone unusable. When my employer sends it out to all employees, I know its critical
  9. Install critical update to Apple devices To: Apple device users Apple released a critical iOS update, iOS 9.3.5, on August 25 that addresses vulnerabilities impacting all iPhones and iPads. Update your Apple device(s) to iOS 9.3.5 as soon as possible. If your iPhone or iPad does not display a pop-up message alerting you to the update, follow these steps: Go to the โ€œSettingsโ€ menu Select โ€œGeneralโ€ Select โ€œSoftware Updateโ€ and follow the prompts
  10. Big Girl- Would you please list just 5 or 6 accomplishments of Mr. Obama that will contribute to him being regarded as one of the best Presidents ever? ( and let me give you a small clue that, by asking you this question, it does not make me a hater or racist)
  11. Yes, his term will soon end. But in order to avoid anti Dem publicity, he had to go to Louisiana. If he had wanted to go, he would have been there sooner instead of waiting until the heat was turned up.
  12. just quit your job and watch the "benefits" flow. Then, teach your child ( not by words, but by example) that there is no need to bust your arse in the world because the government offers cradle to grave care thus perpetuating/increasing the government nanny state. And in some cases, you can pick up some extra bucks by participating in certain demonstrations/lootings inspired and funded by others.
  13. Heard this morning that she blamed the price hike on Obamacare- hmmmm
  14. Its not too late and its not that difficult. Simply promise lots of free stuff and tell everyone how much more you "care" whether it's true or not.
  15. Guess its time to terminate contributions to Red Cross and find an alternative method.
  16. If your thought on this is correct, then surely you disapprove of what was done to Chick Fil A for its CEO expressing his non belief in gay marriage and how County Clerk Kim Davis( in Kentucky) was treated for her refusal, on religious grounds, to issue a marriage certificate to two individuals of the same sex?
  17. I'll bet he will answer your question right after you answer mine!!!!
  18. Come on, sir. Aren't you "progressive" enough to know that the Government is the one to feed you, educate you, and tell you how/what to think? We don't need fathers in the family any more. Big brother can handle all of that. " It takes a village"
  19. I know a number of people who used to be fond of Mrs. Clinton before Benghazi, emailgate, and Clinton foundation adventures became well known. Do you loyal lefties still honestly believe that all of this stuff that keeps coming up is simply baseless political attacks promulgated by Republicans?
  20. I think if have a pretty good idea why. Until Fox came along, there was nobody that could successfully challenge the mainstream biased media and they pretty well got to dictate what was newsworthy and what wasn't. Their goal became much more difficult to achieve when someone from the "dark side" came along and got a huge chunk of the viewing audience.
  21. Then, based upon what you are contending, should NBC have been completely shut down based on the "doctoring/editing" of the Trayvon Martin tape and the "adventures" of Brian Williams? Also, at this point, these are allegations without being validated. Since you take pride in being objective, why have you already "convicted" Mr. O'Reilly and "everyone else ( as you say) at Fox?
  22. I think the fact is that this board is comprised mostly of folks who have conservative values and very much disapprove of extreme right wing positions and how easily many folks are indoctrinated toward them under the guise of "it's for the greater good" and "we care more".
  23. Or Anthony Weiner, husband of Huma Abedin, who is Hillarys closest aide.
