  1. You know the statement to which he refers. That tactic will buy you about two more minutes to figure some way to escape your self created dilemma. In light of the facts presented to you and the FACT that you offered no facts, you probably should just punt.
  2. Still trying to respond to a question with another question? Trite, Banal, hackneyed tactic. Better find a board where someone finds you credible
  3. When Setxfan suggested to me that we wanted to ignore the economic situation of 2009, I stated that was not the case and I would be happy to discuss it in detail with him. The discussion consisted of me giving my perspective and him asking questions ( that he thought were going to produce an answer that would support his "belief".) Setxfan, since you are the one who suggested we somehow feared the discussion of the 2009 economy, why was it you were unable to offer any perspective on it whatsoever?
  4. The indoctrinated do not realize they are indoctrinated, thus validating the strength/power of the indoctrination.
  5. The collapse of the economy was not Obamas fault and nobody has said that. You state it sarcastically to help your narrative. Obama is the ONLY President to NEVER have a single year of 3% GDP. That is a fact that cannot be argued. Obamas policies made the growth of the recovery much weaker than it could have or should have been. You cant accept that and keep trying to suggest that is somehow attributable to someone else. Prior to Covid 19, the unemployment rate was the lowest in 50 years and a larger percentage of minorities had work than ever before. Home ownership has increased each year since Mr. Trump took office and it happened not because of failed mortgage policy but because more people were working and hence more credit worthy. And, by the way, the only time the U.S. credit rating was ever reduced occurred while Mr. Obama was in office.
  6. No, George Bush was not responsible. He happened to be the president when 25 years of improper lending finally exploded. I am done playing the " you question and I answer" game. If you don't have anything substantive to offer, it suggests you are ill equipped to have this discussion.
  7. Jimmy Carter signed the bill in 1977.
  8. Mr. Trump was not occupying any political office at the time leading up to or during the subprime mortgage debacle. You need to stop asking questions and give some answers. I am sure you dont because you dont have any
  9. Hugh? who is Hugh? Very poor attempt to evade the topic. Your inference was that George Bush was responsible for the housing crisis. At the same time, you don't think Obama was responsible for the poor recovery
  10. Being too liberal with lending policies is where the fault lies. Would you guess which side of the aisle is predominantly responsible for making that happen?
  11. He didnt wipe it out. Fortunately, our economy is a very resilient one ( as long as central planning does not become the prime component). He did, however, institute policies that prevented the recovery from being considerably more robust. Funny that you sarcastically make that statement and yet imply exactly the same about the Obama predecessor.
  12. The economy was moving upward prior to the deep recession of 08-09 precipitated by the sub prime mortgage crisis which eventually brought the entire economy to its knees. Before you go further with this, take a look at legislation passed before the mortgage crisis called " The community reinvestment act". This "act" essentially was used to make" evil greedy America" ( who only cared about the "rich") let more people realize the american dream of owning a home . This was done by forcing financial institutions to lend money to people who were not financially qualified to purchase a home in terms of insufficient down payments, unsatisfactory credit history, and insufficient proof of ability to pay. Would you care to venture a guess where the genesis of this act is found? In June 2008, before the crisis, 58% of all US Mortgages were subprime or other low quality mortgages. Of these 76% were on the books of government agencies such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. When these mortgages defaulted in 2007 and 2008, they drove down housing prices and weakened banks and other mortgage holders, causing the crisis.
  13. No Lets not ignore. I am ready to discuss those. This is an area with which I am most familiar and will happily discuss this with you. Where do you wish to start?
  14. The growth in the economy from 2010 was extremely slow. When you are coming off a deep recession such as what was experienced in 2009-10, the bounceback could/should have been much greater. Mr. Obama is the only President to NEVER, during his tenure, have a single year of 3% GDP growth.
  15. Then it's over? Biden is a lock?
  16. PamFAm is not going to like this since her conduct was unbecoming
  17. The news sources that he watches do not show the violence, only the "peaceful protests". Fully indoctrinated.
  18. But Bidens conduct with women is pure?
  19. I believe there is a difference. Please provide for me something said by a Republican shortly after Obamas election that is the same as what M. Watters stated.
  20. There is a difference between vowing to make someone a one term president and this: [Hidden Content]
