It does not infuriate me.  That's the way you want it to be.  But it simply isn't.  Bullets13 is also a social liberal and mostly a fiscal conservative and he and I have expressed our differences for years without the need to tell/suggest to  one another that each is not smart enough or worthy enough to converse. 

Your aversion to Fox news is the conservative slant it presents.   Until Fox came along, there was little if any conservative perspectives in the vast majority of media outlets.  Now that it has a large foothold, it bothers you more than it should.

If your contention is accurate, why so much concern/disdain for Fox news.  Once more, I ask you a question that you avoided earlier.  If the liberal wing is so powerful, what happened in the mid term elections?  What did those elections have to say about the liberal agenda?

No, you are simply assuming that I am trying to catch you in a trap.  You make a number of broad assumptions/generalizations that are not correct ( as in Republicans aren't scientifically inclined)  The statement that you sometimes agree with conservatives and sometimes agree with liberals is your effort to convince the rest of this board that you are somehow, more objective, more broad minded, and, of course, more enlightened than the rest of us.  Essentially, you can't understand why everyone doesn't see things from your viewpoint because you believe your methods of arriving at your viewpoint are superior to the methods used by others - or, more importantly, your ASSUMPTION of the methods used by others.    In another post, you made mention of your perception that every President of this country was a socialist because they presided over tax hikes that theoretically were made to assist the poor.  Here is a shocker for you- you can be conservative and anti socialism and still want to help the poor. 

I also believe there is, to a degree, racism in this country- however, it is practiced by all races.

If I am hearing you correctly ( all major domestic news outlets are clearly biased- people tend to listen outlets that reinforce their personal beliefs) you are suggesting that the majority of people in this country are conservative?  The condescension skills continue to deteriorate.

Could one not say the same for MSNBC, ABC, or Al Jazeera?  Can you tell me why Fox news has such a large viewership?

It would seem to me that there is, to some degree, climate change.  At the same time, I do not believe it is as serious as many seem to portray it.

You really need to brush up on your condescension tactics.  They really aren't up to speed considering your enlightenment level.

Thats why I am just another board poster trying to learn from one who is enlightened.  If the temperature is rising 1/10th of 1% per year, will we call that global warming or if it is rising 1% per year, will we call that global warming?  What if it rises for two years and then drops for two years, will we call that global warming?

One would need to properly characterize the term global warming for me to offer an opinion.  Aren't you guilty of a broad generalization by suggesting/inferring that if one is a Republican, one has insufficient understanding/knowledge of science?

"Some" dont want to discuss that because its not disputable.  And those same folks were adamant about interpreting Presidential election results.

Wait just a minute, enlightened, I thought the left believed that a woman has the right to do whatever she wishes with her own body?  Surely, if one is entitled to healthcare, one is entitled to have as many children as one wants.

You belittle Fox news but believe Al Jazeera is a good news source?  Forget this board and tell me what the mid term elections told you about Mr. Obama.

Should there be a limit as to how much can be taken from the rich and given to the poor?  If we take away most of the incentive for some to produce, from where will the funds come in the future to take care of the poor?  Additionally, I would like to ask Enlightened to provide for us a list of the socialist countries in which poverty has been eliminated.

Totally agree and anxiously await Mr. Enlightenment to differ.

Or, perhaps, to protect us from looters?

Enlightened- Do you remember the sequester that all of your buddies said would ruin the economy?  Now the President is taking credit for all of the good things that have taken place in the economy lately.  Please square those two contentions for me.
