What could the authorities have done differently in the Ferguson Missouri incident?  Or, perhaps, what could the offender have done differently?

Come on, Big Girl.  You already know what the debt and deficit are.  So why bring it up now?  Are you excited that the deficit is lower than it was a couple of years ago?  If you make 100,000 per year and spend 150,000 per year, you operate under a $50,000 deficit.  If you do that for 10 years, you have created a $500,000 debt plus interest.  So, if you cut your $50,000 deficit down to $30,000 per year, you are still in debt by $530,000 plus compounded interest.  If you continue on that path, NOBODY is going to be willing to lend you any more money and those to whom you default on your debt will force you into bankruptcy.

Rather than dropping down to your personal insult level, lets try another approach.  Could you give me an example of a law that denies someone an opportunity to succeed.  My thoughts were that laws were enacted to allow society to succeed.

Some dont, particularly if the case isnt properly articulated.  My point is that laws are made for everyone to adhere to with no exceptions.  And your point is?

If I didn't want to discuss it, I wouldn't have responded. I'm game for the discussion if you are. What do you want to discuss? Since you brought up GDP, maybe that is what interests you. "Since the recession ended officially in June of 2009, the economy has produced a relatively weak average GDP of 2.2% as compared to a normal post recession recovery rate of between 3.5% and 4%. I would also remind you that it hasn't been that long since the condition of the economy was discussed on this board. I believe it was in the early part of 2014 when GDP came in at a negative figure for the ffirst quarter.

I can understand your desire to discuss GDP now because we finally got a very good number for the most recent quarter. This happened not because of the administration economic policies but in spite of them. There has never been an economic recession from which we did not recover, so this is not unexpected. It could/should have happened a couple of years ago instead of taking this long. Once again, the cyclicality of the economy plays a huge role in economic declines and recoveries. Hopefully we will continue to get good numbers in subsequent quarters. If you average in the most recent quarter of 5% with the second quarter of 4.6% and the first quarter of -2.1%, you get an average of around 2.5% annualized which is still weaker than the average post recession recovery since World War 2.

Rather than giving Mrs. Clinton or Mr. Bush credit for whatever you liked or didnt like about their relatives, why not judge them on their own merits?  I don't believe that either of Michael Jordans sons are NBA material.

Big Girl- I am glad to know that you are a fan of John McCain.  Also, Big Girl, can you relate to me how severe waterboarding is as compared to beheading?  If you had a child who had been kidnapped and was buried alive somewhere and the only person who knew the childs location was in your captivity, would you be willing to waterboard that individual if it led to the recovery of your child?
