Yes , Newtobie and Big Girl.  Why should anyone whine and complain?  We should just gleefully accept all of the lies because they are uttered by someone in authority.  You both speak of Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney so fondly:  is that because you never whined or complained about them?  Good luck with that one because you still are.

Smitty- Some have become so accustomed to hearing/accepting the lying( because, of course, the cause is sufficiently noble that lying is ok) that they honestly no longer interpret it as lying.  As long as they can find examples of someone else lying in the past, all is well.

Westend- You don't care if they use it to political advantage?  Then the IRS scandal is acceptable as well?  Lying is ok if some other things are handled properly?  Yeah, right.  Big Brother only wants to help us.  Wasn't/isn't Mr. Obama all about fairness, equity, and "if you work hard and play by the rules, everyone has a fair shot?  So the rules apply to everyone else except the guy making the rules?  Interesting.  Particularly for one who vigorously criticizes blogs that he thinks are not truthful. Enjoy your fantasy.

Big Girl- if you are troubled by this event that took place over 2 decades ago, you certainly must be very mad about the President promising a 21st Century VA and yet many vets have died because they couldn't get an appointment or were on a false waiting list.  Does that make you mad?  And you must really be enraged at all the child murders taking place in the Presidents home town.

I am concerned with all of them.  Tell my why I shouldnt be.  They all supported Obama and dont have the testicular courage to report anything negative about him and, these days, there is a lot of that.  You ought to be concerned too because when this country was organized, it counted on an honest press to keep the American people informed.  That honesty has been replaced by ideology.

You are wrong, sir.  You are the one who doesnt understand.  You go out on an apology tour and declare that you have been arrogant and dismissive.  ( This makes your enemy like and respect you more)  You then "draw lines in the sand" and do not act when that line has been crossed.  When the Muslim fanatics kill your people, you declare that they were, in a sense, justified because one of your own citizens made a video that caused it.  These are the reasons that the world is a safer, more tranquil place than it has ever been.
