  1. I find it interesting that you are so concerned with "humanity" when it comes to bad police but have no concern with it when rioting and looting comes about. Is the life of Mr. Floyd any more noteworthy/newsworthy than the life of Kate Steinle? ( take your time, a quick google search will get your answer - having to research the name tells me a lot)
  2. Is that a way to avoid answering me about whether or not there are bad actors in Cuba and Venezuela law enforcement? Is that a way of refusing to tell me if the socialist operations in Cuba and Venezuela are desireable?
  3. Please show me a city, town, or country where there are no bad police. In fact, please show me any industry or occupation located anywhere in the world where there are no bad actors. Have no desire for the respect of anyone who believes that their viewpoint, and ONLY their viewpoint is valid/credible while all that disagree are somehow less worthy as human beings. While you are responding to this, please show me the virtues of socialism in Cuba and Venezuela. Are there any bad actors in law enforcement in those countries?
  4. Voice all you want. I think everyone should be able to do that. I dont think police brutality is much different than it has ever been. There are always some bad actors in every profession. Some of those issues get over sensationalized and some of them get ignored because they don't fit the narrative that certain people want to perpetuate. By the way, WHO will decided if my assessments about rioting and looting are "fair"? Can you tell me why Colin Kaepernicks actions seem to be admired but Tim Tebow praying on the field was met with disdain and disrespect? Additionally, I do NOT believe that YOU should be able to tell me what to be silent about and what to speak out about.
  5. Which is what the vast majority of folks who get infected do. Why arent the recoveries listed next to the total cases? Hmmmm
  6. So I should not buy Goya food or patronize chick fil a? I should not speak out in opposition to looting and rioting?
  7. My problem with the current environment is this. It is no longer acceptable to be yourself. You must "prove" that you are not racist. The prevailing assumption in many instances is that, unless you have torn down a statue or demonstrated, or rioted, you have inadequate "credentials" and are, subsequently deemed a racist.
  8. Am I understanding you correctly? As long as a person is an "appropriate distance" from the President, all is ok but if the president knows the person being pardoned, it is unacceptable? I can assure you that many of Obamas pardons involved people who were close to his minions or "the cause"
  9. Who decides what qualifies as an "undertone"? Who decides what is in a persons heart/intentions when someone makes a comment?
  10. If we shut the country down completely again for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, whatever, the virus STILL exists. It is NOT going away. Whenever some genius decides it is an appropriate time to reopen the country, there will be a flurry of infections again. We are going to have to deal with it and there is no perfect time to do so. The virus is and has been very widespread for sometime.( note the Stanford study of Santa Clara County) The testing is indicating just how wide spread it is. Nobody talks about all of the people with the virus who are asymptomatic. If you believe additional shut down will do anything other than "flatten the curve", I think you should reexamine your position. If an extended shutdown does anything but make us the next Venezuela, I will be very surprised.
  11. It seems to me that the point being made is that claims of overt racism in this country are simply hyperbole.
  12. Dang, unable to watch for 1 hour and 40 minutes
  13. Mt. Rushmore In 1996, Bill Clinton visited during his re-election campaign. ABC News called it a place where American ingenuity and American creativity came together and formed an amazing American accomplishment. In 2008, when Barrack Obama campaigned there, CNN called Mt. Rushmore a majestic site and every president should visit it. In 2016, Bernie Sanders campaigned there and said he was humbled to be in the presence of 4 of the greatest American presidents. CNN described the scene as awe inspiring In 2020, Trump visits......CNN called at a celebration of white supremacy and Trump will stand before two former slave owners on land wrestled away from Native Americans. No agendas here, right?
  14. You mean you wont be back on here for a week? Many, many thanks. I guess the employment report and the best market quarter in about 30 years derailed you slightly.
  15. My own feeling is this: Whenever you reopen the country, be it last month, next month, October, or whenever, you are going to have a flurry of cases. The virus will not disappear just because we have less contact with one another.
  16. We have not heard from the "ultra enlightened" one for a couple of days. Surely he hasn't been banned again?
  17. Be careful, this could qualify you as a bigot
  18. Sorry, but closing everything down does NOT eliminate the virus. The intent was to slow the speed of the spreading of the infection so as not to strain the healthcare system. When the economy is/was reopened, you are going to have a flurry of cases whether it is now, next month, or next year. And please dont suggest that it stay closed until a vaccine is developed.
  19. Or is it because you know that is NOT what was said. You interpreted it that way
