Saying that the government is not involved in this healthcare debacle is similar to saying that a 17 trillion debt is non existent.

The left will regard this as the perfect opportunity. They will blame the newly elected mayor for all of the ills just as Bush was credited for having personally creating the sub prime mortgage debacle. However, they have yet to come up with a strategy crediting the Repubs with what happened in Detroit. That one will be extra tough.

SIx Conundrums of American Society- agree or disagree?

And the solution is always throwing more money at whatever the problem is. ( never a concern about repaying the borrowed money because comfort is taken in the thought that confiscation from the rich via the tax code will always come to the rescue) -
BOOM!!!! ROASTED!!!!

1. America is capitalist and greedy- yet half of the population is subsidized 2. Half of the population is subsidized- yet they think they are victims 3. They think they are victims- yet their representatives run the government 4. Their representatives run the government- yet the poor keep getting poorer 5. The poor keep getting poorer- yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about 6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about- yet the want America to be like those other countries

And those states also aren't so mired in debt that they may never get out. I just report em also. Mr. Jobs, regardless of his political predilection, was a terrific entrepreneur with the results as documentation. The point, which you either missed or were unable to dispute, was that this President relies too much on academia and too little on practical experience. That also is a fact .

So the "volumes says a lot" had nothing to do with it? Hmmmm

Trojans- You have now asked her that question 3 times. She cant find an answer on Thinkprogress.org So forget it.

The difference is the media gave heavy support to the idiots regarding New Orleans and very little support to the idiots regarding the border. If it was important to survey the damage regarding hurricane Sandy, why not the border as well?

Sounds good to me. However, you will be told you are insensitive and without compassion.

Protect him/hide the incompetence at all costs

Al Gore thinks you should ride a bicycle to work while he flies in his private jet too.

TxHoops- in regard to your link about the 9 of the 10 poorest states being red: Did you read the part that said " However, the Census Bureaus supplementary poverty measure tries to adjust for some of the geographical cost differences. So while, under the bureau's standard poverty measure nine of the 10 poorest states are Red, the latest Supplemental Poverty Measure CHANGES that ranking SIGNIFICANTLY. Part of that "supplemental adjustment takes into consideration a familys government assistance--such as food stamps, housing assistance and tax credits for the poor--as income, further complicating the matter. States where a lot of poor people are getting government assistance may look less poor in the supplemental ranking. One other interesting item to note. Of the ten states with the highest debt problems, 9 of them were blue states. So, if we draw conclusions about these stats, it would seem we should conclude that the 9 of the ten poorest states voted for Romney and 9 of the ten states that are the worst stewards of the taxpayers money voted for Obama.

When George Bush looked at New Orleans through the window of an airplane without stopping to see the damage, it was hailed as an insensitive, inexcusable blunder by the President and was discussed on all three major networks multiple times. Now, President Obama comes to Texas on a fund raising trip and does not take the time to make a side trip to the border to put himself in a position to fully grasp the severity of the problem and project assurance to the American people that he is on top of this issue ( like he portrayed during the Hurricane SAndy visit to New Jersey). This situation gets no mention by any network but Fox. Why is that? I know, I know, for the kool aid drinkers its because "Fox Lies". But other than that particular default excuse, what else? I believe those of you who love to complain about Fox is because of situations like I have just described.

Sometimes people choose to illustrate absurdity by being absurd. I often mention race because I get very tired of the suggestion/inference that criticism of the President is due to race rather than policy. It has become the default excuse/accusation of a number of people on this board and it troubles me greatly. And, by the way, that default accusation is most often the product of someone who is a low info voter from my perspective. I also am offended by the tactic where one simply "lobs" the accusation at you ( without much of a reason) and, for some reason, it is up to the "accused" to "prove" that he or she is not a racist. I find your last post diametrically opposed to what a recent post suggested via " volume tells one a lot"

Part of the problem with the current administration is that it is far too reliant on academia and not sufficiently reliant on practical experience. Dr. Jeremy Siegel of the Wharton School of Business,is a great educator about the business world. However, if I was starting a business, and I had to choose between him and Steve Jobs to run it, I am more than confident that choosing Mr. Jobs would provide a better result.

Big Girl- The Texas Dream Act was signed by Rick Perry but was passed with BIPARTISAN support from the Texas Legislature UNLIKE (VERY MUCH UNLIKE) The Affordable Health Care Act

If you are correct, are you saying that the number of low info voters has declined since the time that Mr. Bush was elected? Does the election of Mr. Obama mean that the electorate, as a whole, is somehow more enlightened/sophisticated than it was when Mr. Bush was elected? I suppose nobody knows for sure, but I am going to stick with my theory that the promise of "free stuff" is a more powerful vote getter than most anything else ( also emphasizing the lack of sophistication of those who willingly accept the word/thought "free" as being true). Disclaimer: The aforementioned words in this post were not intended to convey hatred toward anyone or any race.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen. Many of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens. Think about that for a while.

Please do respond with video clips of ignorant republican voters( in the interest of being fair and balanced). And make sure it is done within the context of a poll. Also, could you please identify the individual that provided you with your favorite quote?

Instead of asking that question in two separate threads, why not start a new one?

Yes it is and fewer people are selling assets so as not to incur the capital gains rate. Great strategy.
