And we are still constantly told how unfair America is.

Big Girl- Won't you please join me in making a campaign contribution to Glo Smith. Surely she is a person you can admire.

You answered absolutely nothing regarding my question. You ignored it. So I will ask again, even though you will ignore it again and then claim that you answered it. Were you outraged when Mr. Obama said the following: Pass my stimulus program and the debt will be cut in half by the end of my first term. Pass my stimulus program and unemployment will be at 5.5% at the end of my first term. I will go through the budget, line by line, with a scalpel. My stimulus program will provide thousands of shovel ready jobs. I will have the most transparent administration in history. I am focused like a laser on creating jobs. It was a spontaneous riot about a video. I will put an end to politics that "breeds division, conflict, and cynicism" I will restore trust in government. The public will have 5 days to look at every bill that lands on my desk. Whistle Blowers will be protected in my administration. I will built a 21st Century VA. If you like you doctor/healthcare plan, you can keep it. If you aren't going to answer again, that's fine. But I am one of a very few who will continue playing your game with you. You may run out of options as far as being acknowledged goes.

Just tell me what countries treat the poor better than the USA. You say the poor get total disregard in this country and I say that the poor are treated much better here than anywhere in the world.
-
Its hard for him to get anything done because he has no leadership abilities. As for your question about Reagan, I already answered your question about Bush and then asked you a question about Obama. When you answer my question, I will answer your second question.
-
The national debt was about 40% of GDP under Reagan and it is now 100.8% under Obama.
-
I am not talking about illegals. I am talking about people who come here from all over the world because opportunities are better than anywhere else.
-
And you believe that there is a total disregard for the poor in this country? What countries, other than the United States offer section 8 housing, food stamps, unemployment and extended unemployment benefits, disability insurance, and free cell phones?
-
Not interested in hypotheticals. Name the country/countries. Also, please tell me how you grew up under such terrible circumstances.
-
Sorry, but the main concern is for the living as opposed to buildings and mountains. Give it up. You arent going to change it. The weapons were found and all you can do is fool around with definitions. This is as bad as stating that the 17 trillion dollar debt does not exist.
-
And the link for those "polls" is?
-
Please name a place where you feel you could be "more proud". If we are so pathetic, why is everybody trying to move here?
-
Yes, I was. But if my memory is correct, Mr. Bush decided to reach across the aisle and compromise with the other side. It was probably a mistake, but he negotiated( example of leadership) with Tip ONeill who had promised $3 of expenditure reductions for every $1 of tax hike. Sadly, the tax hike took place and the expenditure reductions did not. Now that I have answered that question, why are you not outraged about the following: Pass my stimulus program and the debt will be cut in half by the end of my first term. I will put an end to politics that "breeds division, confllict and cyncism. I will restore trust in government. I will build a 21st Century VA If you like your doctor/healtcare plan, you can keep it.

Thanks for that info. I am going to guess that the performace of his successor has a lot to do with people reconsidering their evaluation of Mr. Bush.
-
Bush caused all of this.
-
Well Dove, is the Supreme Court decision a setback for all of this marvelous social progress we have made?
-
Big Girl is the expert on Obamacare- surely she will respond
-
I love the part where he believes we should emulate France. What a joke.
-
Well stated. For many of the reasons you provided, I believe that less government rather than more government is a step in the right direction.

Mr. Bush left with a low approval rating because the public became convinced ( hmmm- who was responsible for convincing?) that the recession/financial crisis was directly attributable to Mr. Bush and his policies. It simply isn't true or close to being true but that is how the public interpreted it. Therefore, I suggest to you that those who accepted that theory were truly low information voters regardless of their social/economic standing. Speaking of low ratings, if things don't improve under Mr. Obama, he will set no records for favorable ratings when he leaves office either. If you want to tell me that perception is reality, then you will also have to concede that" reality" is that Mr. Obamas administration is at the top of the heap when it comes to incompetence and dishonesty. And yes, if Mrs. Clinton wins, and continues on the current path established by her predecessor, I will be one of those yelling about the damage she is doing to the country. I would guess that Smitty would do the same. Isn't that the way this country was organized? Or is dissent supposed to be eliminated/silenced for "the common good"?

TxHoops- I am going to save your post. I think there is a very good chance it will make for an interesting discussion in a couple of years. In any event, I hope that the public will realize, sooner than later, that all of this great "compassion" has a price and the demand that it be paid is getting closer than many realize.

The study stated that 60% of strong liberals don't often feel proud to be American. Just wondering what Big Girl, the enlightened.chosen one, Pamfam, and Newtobie think of that statistic?
-
Why didn't you answer my question about the Republican Majority in the House of Representatives and the Governorships? As for the low information voters, yes the Republicans would like to have their support but the Republicans are hesitant to promise things that are unsustainable. If you want to see some good examples of operating under unsustainable circumstances, look into San Bernardino, Mammoth Lakes, and Stockton California. After that you can turn to Jefferson County, Alabama, Harrisburg , Pennsylvania, and Central Falls, Rhode Island and then, finally, Detroit. Then to top it all off, read about the country of Greece and see what that does to an entire country.

Jessie Haynes....I bet this gets good

Hippy- the title of your post certainly proved to be accurate -
Don't have that answer. Perhaps it was because he didn't have a "Monica" in his Presidential past and because he did not believe in more free stuff. Can you tell me why Mr. Clinton did not get the House of Representatives to a majority position ( he campaigned for many of those candidates) and why he did not get more Democrat Governors elected to the point that they have a majority in that position as well?
