Sir, you are extremely perceptive.
-
Well, if I misinterpreted you in that respect, then would it be appropriate to conclude that "righting the ship" in the last two years is insufficient to offset the first six years? By the way, I put no words in your mouth. I simply asked questions to try to clarify your words. Is there some subtle inference/threat within " I've been watching"?
-
Big Girl- You have to understand that some people consider anything that can kill lots of people in a relatively short time as more harmful than something that can make a mountain crumble.
-
Buddy- I noticed that your response to my two part question included an answer to the second one. I inquired for that opinion as a condition of you having voted for Obama and you responded. Thanks for the rather indirect disclosure.
-
Buddy- If I am understanding you correctly, two good years are enough to offset the past six?
-
Buddy- Did you vote for Obama? If you did, do you still think he can get the job done?
-
Big Girl, there is no sense in trying to suck someone into a definition contest about Obamacare. Regardless of how it is defined, it is a very poorly conceived central planning effort that will, like just about every other government effort, be without competence, without efficiency, and without accountability. The lack of those three insures its abject failure.
-
It is the government inserting its nose where it shouldn't be. You may interpret it one way, somebody else may interpret it another way. The federal government has a long and well documented track record of being the poorest, least efficient business manager in the country. Since you are asking questions, I would like to pose one to you. Are you comfortable having the same agency who cant produce 2 years worth of critical emails be the manager/enforcer or your healthcare?
-
Big Girl- just for the record, are you suggesting that chemical weapons are NOT weapons of mass destruction?
-
You are correct, Big Girl. Being a financial planner does not always make one financially or economically astute. Neither does being a community organizer.
-
If you have a financial planner who had a car repossessed, it simply suggests you didn't do your research when you chose him/her. Check with thinkprogress.org and see if they have a full proof method for avoiding those situations. By the way, I have personal knowledge of several nurses and related medical professionals who have gone into personal bankruptcy. Does that mean you are not credible?
-
Darn- its going to be difficult to claim that the CNN poll is a lie from Fox News

She prefers to simply deny the existence of any situation that is not flattering to the Obama administration. W.

You can brag about Texas in many ways. One of the best stats is the FACT ( I know you don't like those) that Texas recaptured every single lost job in the recession by 2011 and today has more than 6% more jobs than it had before the recession. That's not true about the national economy. GDP for the nation CONTRACTED by 2.9% in the first quarter of 2014. That's not true about Texas. LIke it or not, the Texas economy continues to grow while the national economy, as measured by GDP just took a very large step backward. You cant change it and you cant massage it with numbers. Remember how you always like to say " President Obama was elected President and you are just going to have to live with it"? Well, the economy run by Perry is light years ahead of the one run by Obama and you will have to live with it.

She says there were no weapons of mass destruction. She also maintains that this country does not have a 17 trillion dollar debt.
-
She will say this is a lie trumped up by Fox news.

Translation- I am spot on and you cant blame a flagging economy on Beck, Limbaugh, or Fox News. It is simply a product of those running the country. Nice try, though. One more thing: economically speaking, the sun is not shining very brightly and the first quarter of the year has caused many storm clouds to gather. The solution is not to blame Bush, get Ms. Goldbergs opinion, or call it just another phony scandal. You are the one who so often proclaims" it is what it is" and nothing is more accurate than that in this conversation. You also have mentioned "we tried it your way and it didn't work". Are you honestly suggesting that the "current way" is working? -
Sadly Dove, you believe that. I am sure that the record GDP contraction in the first quarter is also attributable to Mr. Bush. At the same time, Obama got Bin Laden and found out about the IRS scandal in the newspapers just like the rest of us. And he also proudly campaigned with a promise of a 21st century VA. Dove, if the IRS conveniently lost so many emails via the hard drive crashing ( by the way, not backing that info up is also a violation of the law but probably Bush caused this) are we seriously going to let them administer the health insurance program? Right after he was elected, I was told so often how "tech savvy" the Obama team was. And yet, the AHC sight didn't work for a very long time and many emails have disappeared into thin air. Isnt it amazing? Can you tell me exactly how the Republicans made all of this happen?
-
Big Girl- Just so we less enlightened folks can understand, go ahead and identify four or five of the Bush scandals that you so happily refer to . By the way, the Supreme Court just ruled that President Obama violated the Constitution by going around the Senate to name key labor and financial watchdogs? How did that happen? After all, you have told us repeatedly how smart he is and how he taught Constitutional law. I am sure the Supreme Court was, in your view, very knowledgeable when they ruled in favor of Obamacare but I'll bet they don't have any "credibility" with you on this one, right?

The outlook for the U.S. Economy and stock market remains favorable although challenges exist that offer the potential for increased volatiity-TRANSLATION-the market and/or the economy will continue to move up and down, just as it/they have always done. How continuing GDP and job growth "COULD" benefit some domestic large cap stocks-TRANSLATION- here are a few stocks that ought to go up even if GDP runs at only half of what it should be running at Why our long-term outlook is favorable and could reward patient investors.-TRANSLATION- If you buy stocks and hold them long enough, you are likely to come out ahead ( that is nothing new and has been a basic investment tenant forever) -

Ahh,yes, an impressive list of some purveyors of the truth and without an axe to grind. Shouldnt Michael Moore have been in there as well? -

this is no different than Harry Reid saying "he heard" that Mitt Romney had not paid income taxes for the past 10 years. -

Sorry Dove, but I dont make any economic valuations based on the individuals you just named. Since you dont think that those people are credible, why not provide the names of whom you perceive as honest, unbiased, and credible? -

Yes it is. And so are the Cleveland Cavaliers.
