Dove, Big girl, Pamfam, and New tobie: If the Miami Heat wins the title again, that will be three straight years ( the rich getting richer) This is unfair to the Milwaukee Bucks and Cleveland Cavaliers ( poor getting poorer). I demand legislation be enacted to neutralize this inequality. We should institute a fairness tax on the Heat. This tax would require them to win each game by 15 points or more in order to count it as a win. I also think they should be required to have at least 5 caucasians on the playing roster in the interest of diversity and tolerance. Furthermore, the Heat should compensate the BUcks and Cavs for the ill gotten gains they have in attendance revenue. Since they have superior attendance and more attendance revenue, the oppressed deserve a portion of those ill gotten gains. All of this, of course, is a reasonable way to "level the playing field" After all, it's only right that we "spread the wealth"

There are plenty of people who dont mind giving things away just as long as they do not participate in the cost of doing so.

I am very happy that he was released and personally dont care too much what the price was for that release. Frankly I dont sufficiently understand the other stuff that is being discussed about the trade out, so it is hard for me to offer an opinion on that. My comment was intended to belittle the new approach that being nice to our enemies enhances our position with them. It does nothing of the kind. It simply emboldens them. ( please note my admission that I dont know enough about some of these things- you might want to consider that position when it comes to economics)

I disagree. We've always had the increases but they have not been paid for. Thats why the country continues to go further into debt. There is a limit to how much debt the markets will allow you to have. If you dont believe me, ask Spain, Italy, and Greece.

On almost a daily basis for a number of years, I hear the left screaming about how unfair things are in this country. Just curious what everybody else thinks. Do we need to take care of the poor? Of course we do. But to what extent? How do the improverished in this country compare to the poor in the rest of the world? Here are a few items that already exist in our quest to make things fair: Section 8 housing Food stamps unemployment payouts Obamacare Medicare Medicaid Disability compensation Stafford Loans Pell Grants Emergency Food Assistance Temporary Assistance for needy families Trade Adjustment Assistance Program Low Income Legal Advice Child Care Subsidies Financial Assistance for heating, coolling, and energy bills I would like your opinion on this: To what extent should we go in order to feel we are doing enough for the needy? How do we make sure that these benefits are provided ONLY for the truly needy? Oops, I forgot one more small question that many NEVER consider. How do we pay for an increase in these benefits and exactly who will be paying for an increase?

Who cares if those terrorists got out?. Once they hear that the current U.S. Policy is to be "nicer" to other countries and that our President has publicly said that this country apologizes for being "arrogant and dismissive", they wont try to harm us any longer. Kumbaya

Some dont worry about taxes because they dont pay any but receive, on average, about $33,000 worth of federally funded support each year. And, supposedly, we are still "very concerned" about the lack of equality in this country. Guess what the answer is- Yep- I am not paying my fair share ( even though 1/2 of the country pays a ZERO SHARE) and I need to pay more

So the poll about the Presidents approval rating is a lie?

Before you get answers to the 19 questions you posed, why dont you respond to the one posed to you? Oops, I'll bet you are going to demand a video and then, when you hear the words you dont want to hear, are going to say the video is a fake.

Big Girl, I noticed that you did quite a bit of research on the tax policies of Mr. Reagan and Mr. Bush. While you are at it, please let me know what the tax policies were of John F. Kennedy. In the case of George H.W. Bush, he did promise not to raise taxes but he did something our current President cannot comprehend ( nor can you) He compromised with a Democratic run Senate and House in order to keep the country running smoothly and did not permit an ideology to over ride common sense. -
Don't try to figure out why Reagan is a hero to some. I understand because I am having a tougher time understanding how anyone can possibly think that the Obama economic approach is productive when Gross National Product is contracting and so many people are out of work.

Sure, a company makes a major decision to move everything, lock stock and barrel just for the sake of paying their executives more money. Excellent common sense response. Your business acumen is startling. You need to get over the class envy stuff. It doesn't become you. -

Raising taxes is sometimes a necessity. But doing when the economy is strong rather than when it is failing is the difference. Why have you never answered my questions about raising taxes. If somebody is looking to open a business and has narrowed his choices to two states, will he/she open it( and provide hundreds or thousands of jobs) where the taxes are lower or where they are higher? -
Yes, people went to jail because the administration was ethical and honest.

Standard response when no logic is available.

Lets hear it Big Girl- What are your feelings about the President declaring that the constitution is a charter of negative liberties?

I took particular note of the convictions that were mentioned. THis suggests that an investigation actually took place and got results as opposed to just being lip service.
