  1.     Sounds great. NOw show me where a Fox news reporter stated any of this as a fact rather than somebody appearing on Fox offering it as an opinion. This is no different than statements such as "the Republicans want to take your social security away", the Republicans are for dirty air and dirty water", "the Republicans are committing economic terrorism" yada yada yada.
  2.   It was just a "gaffe" and the President is entitled to as many of those as he wants.
  3. Ok- I get it- Only the President is permitted a gaffe-  Anyone who does something similar ( but opposes him) does not get the same consideration-  Pretty convenient
  4. Do you think a Presidential candidate ought to know how many states are in the Union?
  5. I'll vote for that when all voters must have an id
  6. Plus the postal service has been broke for some time and there is little hope for it to become solvent again.
  7.     There are so many federal agencies that nobody can name them all.
  8.     If you like your doctor you can keep him.
  9.     TRANSLATION: The government cannot be the "end all be all" solution for every problem that arises.
  10.   But remember, the states arent "smart" enough to handle their own affairs and they need the insight and efficiency of the Federal Government.
  11. Sounds great. If the school districts are having a tough time making financial ends meet now, how will they pay for "just a few additional cops"? Does each school need 1 more, 2 more, 5 more, or 7 more?
  12. Lets just appoint a Czar and make him responsible for the safety of kids in school. Of course, we will need to make a budget for this program and lets start out at 2 billion dollars. (since it is the government running the program, that cost will double in a very short time) How are we going to pay for this well intended program?
  13. then lets hire about 100,000 more 9-11 folks and promise them oversized pensions, free healthcare, etc etc etc just so you can never hear the words please hold.  How will you pay for it?  Don't tell me- raise taxes on the rich who arent paying their fair share
  14. No sense arguing with them Raiderfan.  Many believe that the government is the solution to all problems and you simply raise taxes on the producers when the government loses/runs out of money (which is a daily occurance)  What they fail to grasp is that as the government gets bigger, the number of those totally dependent on the government grows and the number of producers gets smaller.  All one needs to do is look at Greece to see how well that theory works.  Solyndra is one of many examples that show just how efficient the government is when it comes to business.
  15. I have a hunch you would change your mind if yours or someone close to you was a victim of one of these shootings.
  16. 6.3 should have happened several years ago, so yes, it has happened in spite of the way the country has been managed.  A normal recovery has a GDP in the 4% to 5% area and this recovery has been running at about half that.  If one understands that an economy is cyclical, it will eventually correct whatever excesses are present at any one particular time.  It does not take a brain surgeon to know that when you have an anemic recovery, raising tax rates is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE.  There has never been a recession from which we didnt recover, but the rate at which that recovery takes place varies considerably.  Would you care to guess how this "rate" of recovery compares to others?
  17. And many think that the "degree" of socialism has gone too far.  Yes, the fire department, the armed forces, and a few other things are good things.  As I have stated 1000 times before, the Federal Government is the absolute WORST business manager in the world and it ought to leave that to the private sector.
  18. And you believe that Mr. Bush is the one who published the intelligence report.  Rather than just saying Fox has distorted facts, give me an example.
  19.     "led us into a recession"?  Please elaborate.
  20. The "information" was given to everyone and they then decided how they chose to interpret that information and voted accordingly.  Were we given falsified information about Benghazi and the IRS?
  21. I said that if you believe Bush is responsible for all that happened during his administration, then the same applies to Obama.
  22. Based upon what you are saying, that makes Obama personally responsible for Benghazi, Fast and Furious, NSA Spying Scandal, and IRS scandal.
  23. Please go ahead and tell me the "real reason" that he was elected.
  24. During the Bush Presidency the DEMOCRATIC controlled senate voted 77-23 for war on Iraq.  Here are some names that may be familiar: BIDEN Dodd Graham Cleland Akaka Bayh Breaux Baucus CLINTON Edwards Hollings Daschle Lincoln FEINSTEIN Lieberman Carper Nelson Miller Harkin Landrieu Nelson REID Torricelli SCHUMER Dorgan Wyden Johnson Rockefeller Kohl   Those of you who like to give exclusive credit to Mr. Bush for the war are in la la land.
  25. Yes, a United States senator for less than a full term who voted "present' more than yes or no.
