  1. I fully support such an investigation also, but, at this time, I would like to see the vast majority of the attention of those that represent us directed toward the most pressing issues
  2. Just got a text from friend that said " if me and my husband are quarantined, his cause of death will not be coronavirus"
  3. Wait, do you mean you are supposed to accumulate the emboldened on your own? So many think that belongs under governmental responsibility.
  4. While I agree, to a certain extent, about the science claims it may be wise to look at all claims with a bit of skepticism and I will give a few reasons why. Ten or twelve years ago, "science" said New York City would be under a foot or two of water by now. There was a time when"science" said the oil shortage was so severe that we would run out by a certain date in the future. Yet, today, oil is trading in the $20 per barrel range. I distinctly remember a major brokerage/banking firm publishing a report predicting $200 per barrel ( it was written when oil was around $100 per barrel) Lastly, a recent personal experience. I had an arteriogram done last week and " science" ( interpretation of the data) stated that i needed an immediate double bypass. Rather than accepting that "scientific interpretation", I visited with another cardiothoracic surgeon who said it was absolutely not necessary. In an effort to validate his contention, he referred me to another cardiologist in Houston whom I visited last Tuesday and his "scientific interpretation" of the data was also that no surgery is necessary. These three doctors all have a similar educational background and yet their interpretations were vastly different. One told me that the original test was improperly run. One told me that the data was mistinterpreted. The other said I needed surgery within the next 5 days.
  5. She is practicing the tolerance and civility that Mr. Obama said was needed.
  6. I am ok with govt assistance when it is a true emergency rather than an operating on an ongoing basis, and , in many cases, continuing from one generation to the next aka: a way of life
  7. We are talking about emergency circumstances vs a way of life.
  8. Good point. When you bring up alleged Trump lies and I counter with verified Obama lies, it is strictly historical comparison. I would also suggest that you needn't lecture me on my conversance with the English language, context, and semantics.
  9. You need tires? Shouldn't the government provide tires for you? Isn't cradle to grave govt care the best way to go?

  11. Forget all of this virus stuff, lets find some statues to tear down
  12. ahhh yes one more debate " communist vs dementia"
  13. Do you want to know who waited until 1000 people died? It was your hero?
  14. That is something we should always strive to do. If we don't we get accustomed to being taken care of feeling that we are owed something and feeling we are, somehow, victims.
  15. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
  16. Suspends his presidential campaign> his campaign folks say it is untrue
  17. I am not accepting but glad it is available in extraordinary times . something that can and should be done in national emergencies but not on an every day basis. If you do it all the time, it makes it nearly impossible to do it when it is most needed
  18. Hmmm I thought Benghazi was the result of an internet video and I thought that Bowe Bergdahl servered his country with honor and distinction. At least this president didn't wait until 1000 Americans died before declaring a national emergency
  19. Also heard someone suggest that in order to keep locally owned restaurants afloat, buy gift certificates from them. Helps them with cash flow and gives you or someone you give the certificate to to have a good meal somewhere in the future
  20. Sorry, but no whatabouts allowed
  21. But it will help keep the tire company open, help the guy who mounts them keep his job, and help that same guy buy groceries for his family thus keeping the grocery store open and not laying off people in such an extraordinary time.
