1.
You people? They? Just got off the phone with Joubert and he will take the Silsbee job. Announcer will take place Thursday morning in Silsbee.
are you backtracking on your "phone call conversation with Joubert?
 2.
He may not have the option to go to Silsbee!  Fact  ;)
FACT?  FACT?  Badsanta has already DOCUMENTED that Joubert will take the job Thursday after talking to him on the phone.
And there you have it folks.  Just as always, Badsanta comes through first with verified news that the rest of us are unable to obtain.  Look for Santa to take his show to ESPN in the near future.
 4.
just going off all the talk on here sounds like a done deal
The "talk on here" is hardly any source that I would use if I had to bet a large sum or my life.
 5.
Nash,  Silsbee CANNOT win the district title next year.  The best they can do is 2nd place.  Did you forget that HF has the district title locked up already?
Yes, I knew that but am addressing the question to someone who believes that some people are miracle makers and my question was intended to seek a response that would help me guage the extent to which he believes someone has  magical abilities.
Malcolm- Does this mean there will be a lot of press conferences in Silsbee?
Along with Championships!! District and State :D
I think you may possibly be overestimating the power of a single person to achieve something that requires a number of people to make happen.  If you dont have sufficient manpower, you can be Phil Jackson and it still wont happen.  If Joubert becomes the Silsbee head coach, does that insure a district championship for the upcoming season?

 9. Possibly  because there is a rule that says students may not move strictly for athletic purposes?
 10.
Whats up with the talks im hearing about a 6'5 post transfering to nederland? Im hearing good things, anyone watch this kid? Which school is he transfering from??
He will have to be awfully good to take the place of the young post man they already have.
 11.
Tim did a good job. He was there three years and had the program going in the right direction. Had a winning record for his time there. He was just offered a better deal and took it. Cant blame him for that. He wasn't ran off or beat down by parents or anything of that nature.Central has no football so he will get his players early.(Central started four freshmen and a soph last year and won lots of games) Huntington graduated one player last year so the program is still in tact........
I hope he didnt leave because a certain authoritarian faction gave him 10 or 15 speeding tickets during his tenure.
 12.
Well, why don't you guys & gals in Silsbee go ahead and pick up Henderson (Memorial ex HC) since we're picking apart your bball coaches! I'm sure he's looking for a new position as BBall HC. Bob West & company seem to think that a winning record (>50%) is ALL that matters to determine whether or not you're considered a "good" bball coach. (BW trying to hide his true opinion of PAISD's removal of Henderson in "choice" wording in several articles he's written). There is a reason. This guy is always looking for a job! Thinkahboutit!
Thankfully, the opinion of Mr. West & Company has zero bearing on the outcome of any high school coach who gets hired
It was not listed as the JV, just Nederland. Other teams had their JV's listed (LCM JV & Ozen JV)
Either way, they were missing their best players.
So was Silsbee.
Would it be safe for me to guess that Nederland, perhaps, might have been missing more of their varsity starters than Silsbee was?  If not, I would like to go ahead and congratulate Silsbee on their appearance in Austin next March.
 14.
Tim Bartlett has resigned the A/D and basketball coach position at Huntington to take the A/D head coaching job at Pollock Central.
Will Gestapo seek revenge?
 15.
Heard Travis too.
Dove - Does this coaching change make HF walk to the District Championship any easier?
 16.
If Silsbee doesn't promote Brooks it better be because they are bringing in Duane Joubert
What about the other assistant who sat in for Travis during his health issues last year?
 17. Since you seem to be the supreme prognosticator of Silsbee basketball, could you please tell us if you have an interest in the basketball job?  If not, please let us know who will succeed Mr. Williams.
 18. NOT- He doesnt do enough press conferences- if there is a change, Badsanta will have the news first
 19. Oh no, was that Mr. Enlightened trying to get back on here?  My guess is that it didnt get as much press because nobody lied about it for three weeks before admitting it.
 20. If you are thinking of the one I think you are thinking of, I would have to say he is fairly competent in his field.

She has played college basketball at LSU and is from Port Arthur. To my knowledge Brooks has never coached girls before.
There are a lot of good coaches who didnt play college basketball.  If you understand the game and get along well with students, it shouldnt matter if the team is male or female.  If I understand things correctly, Hamshire Fannet just hired a girls coach for the boys team.
There are plenty of instances where a "less than successful" program became a successful one with the right coach.  What I am suggesting to you is that Mr. Brooks is a very good coach and can handle a boys or girls job.  I have personal knowledge of a situation where a new coach (without prior head coaching experience) took a program from 2-26 to two consecutive district championships and a regional appearance in his first two years.  One year after that, the team played in the state final.  The school had an outstanding football reputation and was laughed at in basketball.   Yeah, at Hamshire-Fannett. The basketball Mecca of the world. 23. Badsanta will become both the Boys and Girls coach and have them in Austin next March, and, at the same time, will shoot 64 at the Hills of Lakeway Golf Course.
