I guess the answer to that was NO It’s ok HJ to only have success @ the High School level [/quote] It's not that big of a deal to not have won a state championship.  Thats true of the great majority of teams.  Silsbee has been in a position a number of times to win it all, but have not had the luck a team needs to make that happen.  Most would give their right arm just to be in Silsbees position. My guess is that if they keep getting in the right position, it's going to happen one day.

What will be HJ's record in football this year? 1-9? 2-8? Better play some 2A and sixman teams to prepare for a butt whipping in district. Again, cancel that program. We may not have a state crown in basketball or football but at least we dont go out each week knowing that we just going to get a good workout. It would be wise for HJ to just pull the bulbs out of the visters side of the score board and just keep score by calculator! Just saying buddy! [/quote] There is a good possibility that nobody will be here more than five years.  If the coach does real well, he will use this as a stepping stone.  If he does poorly, he will meet the same fate that Mr. Roccaforte did.

Both very integral to the playoff success this season of HJ.

It might be smart not to get too excited and anticipate too much.  Keep in mind that Lamar passed on both Del Harris and Tim Floyd.

I would like to re-phrase that question slightly.  Will Hamshire Fannett win a state basketball championship before Silsbee does?
