Will these sites all be more or less midway points or will they be closer to each home town?
Mu guess is that Cleveland will have a preference for the Woodlands or Conroe area and HJ will opt for something in Jefferson, Hardin, or Chambers county.

Dove loves basketball and has a lot of fun with his comments on the board. He just likes to stir the pot every once in a while. I am trying to think if there is anyone else like that on this board?
Watch It, Nash! Your feminine side is coming out.
Thanks for the observation. There is nothing I hate more than a washed up metrosexual.
No- Buy they are trying real hard to learn.
Aah the beloved Nash with a type-o. I simply stated some facts about the Indians matchup with Stafford. I don't recall a cake walk refrence. I think Cleveland will win this game. I am expecting a very competitive game, because a Sutherland coached team does not give away possesions and rarely beat themselves. I think this is Cleveland's year to fullfill their potential.
I guess I should learn to spell- much as you should(refrence is reference and possesions is possessions) Sorry- I thought you were the one saying this won't be much of a game but I now realize it was Indian 54. -
Not sure where it will, but I'm positive where it won't be: Lee College. That is a fact. There are three locations being considered and Crosby High is one of them. This game will take place in a parking lot before we go to HJ's second home at Lee College.
In reading some of your other posts, the location of the game shouldnt matter at all. You gave me the impression Cleveland wins by double digits no matter where game is played.
No the Indians have not. Cleveland/HJ commonn opponent is Stafford. HJ had a some trouble with this team last night. Cleveland beat this team from start to finish on Stafford's home floor without their starting center Cedric Reed. Just some food for thought. And IMO, [s]Sealy[/s], er, Stafford played it right. They contested every pass and there were several times where HJ almost lost the ball or dribbled into trouble. And, in the end, it succeeded for them, for they got a strong chance to hit the winning bucket. My only suggestion is that they should have fouled with about 5-6 seconds to go because they only had 5 team fouls at that point. BTW, was Gus fouled on the final drive to the basket? I don't know. There was contact but who initiated it? i think the referees didn't want to determine who the winner was so they let the play go. it was, IMO, a 50-50 call.
Yes, Gus was fouled and I am not sure who initiated the contact either but believe it doesnt matter because the defender did NOT have position as Gus was approaching the basket.
You could say the same thing about Persohn's offensive foul where he broke his finger. #11 was in the air (aka "did NOT have position") and Persohn jumped into him to initiate the contact. I think during any other game we would have seen a defensive foul, but the referees didn't call that all night long. Prudhomme was tripped, Bosha was tripped, and Gus went down earlier on a similar play and they were never called. Note: the trippings were not intentional, just due to typical contact when driving the lane. So, the referees weren't anything, if not consistent, in not calling that play.
Both of Joe's offensive fouls were legit calls. He lead with his shoulder and created the contact himself on both calls.
Agree on his first one but not at all in the one toward the end of the game- should have been an "and one" play.

Come on man. Its a game by game matchup situation. HJ is not in any trouble.
Looks like Cleveland would be the favorite at this point for the regional title, but I believe any of the teams left are capable of winning a game that they are not expected to win. -

Can Nederland win state this year?

Winning by one or by forty-one - who cares- either has the same value -
Several thoughts: We let Sealy hang around and almost get the win. Those guys wouldn't give up. #11 for Sealy had at least 10 blocks. The kid played solid defense. When he blocked the ball, it didn't go into the 8th row bleachers. No, it was a Bill Russel type block (old fogey alert!) that usually ended up in #11's hands. Great defense, my man! The Hawks really suffered when Joe Persohn wasn't in there. As previously posted, the dude should get the purple heart. Finally, Prudhomme is a beast!!!! I counted at least 4 dunks, including 2 incredible alley-oops!!! And that run in overtime where he got the alley-oop and then stole the ball and dunked it again...... that was incredible! Great game, Hawks!!!!!! Keep Soaring, Baby!!!!
Agree with most everything you say except we played Stafford.
If it goes there you are in worse shape. The part you are missing is that your coach actually loves basketball. You have an ad who could care less about it. So what happens next, first they will not get rid of the coach because in the ad's eyes he's happy, he has football offseason, do you think he is gonna go hire someone with big ideas of making basketball king at HF? Will never happen. been there done that. either accept it or move to Houston.
Been there? Done that? I have personally witnessed a situation where a superintendent assured a prospective new basketball coach that certain issues would be dealt with in order to get the coach to take the job at a football oriented school. Said coach took the job and turned a team with a very poor losing record into a district champion the following two years and a regional semi appearance in the second year. So, yes, change is possible -
I think HJ wins this one closely to set-up a rematch with Cleveland, assuming Cleveland can put aside distractions.
That should be no problem, according to you. Vastly superior team and the loss is a little used reserve.
