2. Nobody knows.  A month from now, maybe Nederland is playing 25% better than they are now.  If so, why wouldnt they have a chance?  If they are playing 25% worse, probably they might lose first or second round.  Personally, I am pulling for any local team to represent the golden triangle in Austin whether its mine or not.  Speaks well of basketball for this area if it happens.

I dont want to cause too much trouble, but I remember being told by quite a few people on this site about the "history" and how it's "tradition" for Silsbee and HJ to split the district games.. I saw this coming from the start of the season and knew that HJ had NO chance of beating Silsbee.. The next things that I predicted is that HJ and SIlsbee will NOT play again this year ( In other words, HJ will lose before they reach Silsbee again in the playoffs ). On on a much more friendly note, Congrats to the Silsbee Tigers for TCB and setting themselves up to win another district title! And good luck to HJ with the rest of their season and getting ready for playoffs!
HJ could have easily won either game.  Silsbee is certainly the better, deeper team, but HJ absolutely has the talent to beat this team.  HJ held a lead at the end of 3 in the first game, and a lead with 1 minute left in the 3rd in the 2nd game.  Silsbee's depth helped them pull away at the end of both games, but i'd challenge you to find anyone who saw either of these games who thinks there's NO way that HJ could beat Silsbee.
This sounds too much of a Woulda Coulda Shoulda If HJ will beat Silsbee than it won’t be an easy task like you stated Can’t say that HJ could or will beat Silsbee because it has not happened this year Just Sayin’
You obviously don't understand the phrase "Could easily happen".  All i was stating is that they were in the game, and if a few things break differently and they're 2-0 against Silsbee rather than 0-2.  Now, I've already said that Silsbee is the better team, but for this guy to say that HJ has NO chance to beat Silsbee is asinine, as HJ has aready held their own with them twice.
Hey buddy.. Whats asinine is you still thinking HJ can beat Silsbee THIS year :D But if you want me to get technical, which is what I think im going to have to do here, any team has a chance to beat any other team since there a two teams and only one team can win, so it is technically a 50-50 chance.. But the realistic chance is 0%.. Dont believe me? The results for THIS year show 0-2, which means 0% :o :o :o On another note, my negative karma seems to be taking a major hit ever since I openly discussed HJ on the public forum :D :D :D Maybe if i try hard enough, I might catch up to BADSANTA
If you catch him, perhaps the three of us can have a private get together and co-author a revision of " How To Win Friends and Influence People" and also offer our own Dale Carnegie Courses

 7.
If we get real honest here, these are all opinions.  I would bet a dollar to a doughnut that nobody from around here has been all around the state watching the best freshmen playing.  It is very unlikely that anyone on this board has any ability to DOCUMENT that Bosha is one of the best freshmen and EQUALLY unlikely that anyone can DOCUMENT than he isn't. Exactly... so there is the answer, who can compare.  Although Dove has seen many play in the summer as have I. As far as most valuable,  I agree to disagree,  i know of a few that are also as valuable as freshman to their teams. I agree he is the most valuable freshman playing varisty for HJ.
If you have seen a lot of valuable freshmen, would you go so far as to say he might be the most valuable freshmen to his team in the district?

Let me see, you have been watching current freshmen for four years.  Am I correct in assuming that means you have watched them since they were in the sixth grade and there are 30 or more in that class that are better than Bosha as freshmen in the Houston area?
You want names? ;) Lets see: Justin Jackson 9th grader- NC University has this kid under their radar. He could additionally believe that the TOTAL (both schools combined) cost of sending all of the teams from Silsbee to HJ is no greater than sending half of the teams from HJ to Silsbee and the other half from Silsbee to HJ over a home and home series.
That's a might big assumption of "what he may have meant".  ;) Referees cost less.... no additional mileage.  Add to that lights, janitorial staff, and all, and I think that he may have meant that its wonderful for the girls to get to play in front of people other than their parents.
While I know nothing of the costs of referees, I had concluded that the cost of each referee (per game) is the same regardless of how many referees are involved.( one ref doing four games would have the same total cost as four refs doing one game)  If the referees give volume discounts, then I obviously was wrong.  If they get mileage, its hard for me to believe that there is more than a slight difference between the travel costs to Silsbee as compared to Sour Lake.  Also, I have PMd the originator of the post(of which we speak) to see if I  have inadvertently misassumed) and will PM you his reply if I get one.  Its 9:38 pm and he just responded telling me I interpreted his post properly

 13.
Dove has been watching Se tx, Houston, Dallas and other talent for a few years. It is agreed that Bosha is a good player, with tons of potential. But where is the lost revenue?  The girls game can not be paying for themselves when you consider the extra busing, the elcectricity, the referees, and all the other costs just so that the girls parents can watch a game.
