Game 3 Predictions Lakers at Celtics
Really bold Phil will have the Lakers Ready if and when the lakers steal this game it like a good body shot to the celtics and most of the steam will be out of them
I think Phil gets more credit than he deserves. If he is going to "have them ready", why didnt he "have them ready" for the last game? I also believe that Phil thinks he is smarter than everyone else. -

Game 3 Predictions Lakers at Celtics
I can bet this series goes back to LA. But I completely agree Celtics 3 point percentage is a huge key in this one. The Celtics are relying on Allen to hit a few each game. And how bad was Artest in game 2? Good job of the rockets to let him go
I would assume that Allen cannot produce again like he did in last game. At the same time, I would also assume that Garnett/Pierce cannot be as unproductive offensively as they were last game. I know that the Lakers missed Bryant due to foul trouble, but Garnett missed a lot more of the game than Bryant did. Come on, Celtics. -

I do know there are some players in the past who were being told they were better than what they really were (HJ AHEM!). Anyway, this is the time to get these kids to attend the unsigned senior games and get exposed to college scouts from JUCO, D1,11,3, ETC. There is one coming up in Belton, Tx and one in Houston. I think it's a great opp to get your name out there. If you don't have that D1 schoalrship from Texas or Oklahoma by now, it probably ain't coming. Look for other avenues. Some kids wont get scholarships because they spent too much time complaining about lack of playing time and, after getting out of school, telling their homies that those type of problems are caused not by the players themselves but by their coaches. The saddest part is that many of them TRULY believe that.

If Yao gets healthy.....look out!! He'll probably end up as a Laker anyway. Grin
What would Yao getting healthy do?? He isnt that great of a player, just tall. He is slow as ever and doesnt have the greatest jumping ability
How high do you need to jump when you are 6 inches taller than anyone else on the floor? I am thinking Gasol is not much of a jumper either nor is Kendrick Perkins.
The new kid is just a peace of the team, there are no stand out players on this team, But as a team they look real good, very balanced with size inside and a great set of shooters on the outside. After watching the games Tuesday with EC and HF, and I know this is just summer ball and scores dont mean anything, but this should be another good season for HJ.
If Gus and Sutherland are on the squad they have a couple of standouts. They also had a kid on the JV last year that was big and had a ton of potential.Something tells me you won't recognize him this coming season. He is gonna be solid.
But you have to remember that, early last season, Swag (in his absolute brilliance and predictive splendor) declared that Sutherland was an inept shooter and Gus would lead the district in turnovers.

I know that you are curious about a couple of things so I thought I might possibly clear them up for you. You and I recently spent several days together a little north of Huntsville. I recently gave you a small booklet providing some facts about retirement. We have a common acquaintance in Mr. Hancock. Hope that does the trick.

Let me begin this with a quote from you" Hawk Nation is about to get exactly what they've been asking for! The days are numbered, so I'm gonna lay low untill then. " Since you are so impressed with press conferences, why don't you arrange a press conference when all of this happens? It certainly will be a newsworthy event. I am sure the general public will have a great interest on how all of this took place and how integral your efforts were in achieving the results. If you are unable to arrange the press conference, you have my absolute solemn promise/guarantee that the event and ALL of the participants will get a lot of well deserved publicity.
Hawk Nation is about to get exactly what they've been asking for! The days are numbered, so I'm gonna lay low untill then.
Typical of a small thinker. He believes that the potential loss of a couple of disenchanted players will mark the end of the world for a good program. ( I believe Allen Iverson was disenchanted in Detroit, Denver, and Memphis and his departure improved their respective performances)If it happens, all it will do will hasten the maturity of a couple of young players who both will leave a big mark on the HJ legacy by the time they finish in four years. You'd better hope that it makes a big difference at the Beaumont School. You also better hope that nobody decides to subpoena certain phone records when the time is right. The greatest part of this is that the bigger problems, if this all comes to pass, will be experienced by an embittered poster and his idol. Of course, the idol will never have imagined that his worshipper could cause that many problems for him. As for Austin, the ones you hold in such high esteem will not even sniff Austin next season.
Seems to me that the only thing that Swag, Betrayed, HJ supporter on the outside but hater on the inside can do is reply to factual and intelligent comments with rhetoric or propaganda. Although, I truly believe SWAG is driven by some type inner HJ demons of the past his double life and literary tactics or doing more harm than good. Truth be known this dude probably doesn't miss a HJ game (opportunity to coach from the stands) goes there and feels one of his homies didn't get treated fairly and then makes his way back home and bashes. My daddy told me a long time a go if want something bad enough don't depend on others to do anything for you. If playing time is what you want prove yourself. I don't know too many coaches who sit athletes that keep their nose clean, display a positive attitude, work hard and produce on game night. Also much to your dismay at some point, in the recruiting phase the athlete has to eventually sell HIMSELF. The most important thing about going to play at the next level should be to get a quality education and learn some life lessons not just for notches on the belt, press conferences or the topic of porch conversation 20 years later. By the way, Swag, Betrayed, HJ Lover/Hater whatever: the more you stir paint the thinner it gets and your comments or getting awful thin.
I would like to commend you, sir, on an outstanding post. However, the saddest part of all of this is that the individual to whom you direct this post, cannot deal with common sense and, when common sense is further complicated for him with eloquence, it becomes totally beyond his grasp. He can, though, extoll the relative virtues of a "press conference". I dont think you will get a response. If there is one, it will most likely involve some direct or inferred suggestion that your comments were of a racial nature.
Numbers don't lie :o Until i see some press conferences being held over there, I don't wanna hear anything you all have to say. Good Riddance ;)
Last time I looked, a press conference and a number have nothing in common. First you wanted to compare numbers. When that didnt work out, you wanted to compare press conferences. ANYONE can arrange a Press Conference WHENEVER they want to. If that is your criteria for measurement of success, your values/judgement are nonexistent. By the way, just HOW MANY press conferences have been held in Kountze over the last ten years regarding junior college basketball signees? You and I both KNOW the answer but you will either lie about it or say it doesnt interest you.

HJ will not lose to the runner up or 3rd place team from 22-3A. ;) ;D
Lack of Bball intelligence, Wow! Didnt Hj and Sutherland lose to Splendora in the 1st round?
When did this happen? Enlighten me.
Right before the two 3a player of the year, and 3 1st team All-Staters arrived. Right before they was put on the map. Right before they were bragging about their record the last 4 yrs. Thats when it happened ;)
Right before they was put on the map. Who is "they"? If you are talking about HJ...........HJ has been on the map for a loooooooooong time. If "they" is Sutherland........he was on the map looooooooooong before he came to HJ? How many all staters has kountze had over the last few years? Yet the coach can get credit over there and it is ok..........but when they get credit here it is only because they had 3 all staters. Wake up!!!!
Lets compare how many of both school all-staters was doing what Devin was doing yesteray. How many press conferences has been held over there for those all-staters. Its a fact that Joubert all staters have those days every year during school. I've been watching the news for years. But hey, it must ne the system and not the players ;)
Go ahead and compare the all staters. Here is where your lack of basketball knowledge will be uncovered. You are speaking of Ryan Donahoe, Jarvis Benard, and Jacoby Turner. By the way..........what I am about to type are facts.......not opinions. Ryan Donahoe- Had a FULL scholarship offer from SFA on the coaches desk at HJ. Why did he have this offer? An HJ coach had an old friend who was on the SFA staff and they had no interest. He said come see him for me. The assistant came and two nights later the head coach was there. Ryan was offered the scholarship and told he would have a chance to start the next year for a team that was at that moment in time the best team in the Southland. Ryan took the advice of an AAU coach and held out for bigger offers. Never got them and now he is at a JUCO. Jarvis Benard- Jarvis was a 5'8 shooting gaurd who was a great player in high school. That coach contacted the same people at SFA along with others in the southland. No interest. He also contacted San Jac(coach there was a personal friend) who came and watched him play several times but ultimately was not interested. Jarvis ended up with Donahoe at a JUCO in kansas because of the HJ coaches relationship with a former LSCPA assistant. Jacoby Turner- Not truly interested in playing basketball but would if he couldnt play bball. Currently has 4 basketball workouts setup with JUCO's because the HJ coaches set them all up. Anything else? P.S. Besides Ryan Donahoe the other two all staters you speak of are a dime a dozen in the Houston area and that is a fact!!!!! Great players on the 3A level but would have been just another guy in Houston or Dallas.
Nope, dont care about any of that nonsense ::) Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend ;)
You "don't care" because it blows your contentions out of the water and it contains common sense. You ought to try employing it sometime.
