I dont believe HJ had many second chance points. . I also would guess that Persohn would have most of McCains attention thereby not offering a lot of opportunities for a closeout. If Persohn doesnt get into early foul trouble like last game where he sits more than half of the first half, he will get a few more rebounds than he did from the bench regardless of who guards him.

The real problem was a "well intentioned" government ( once again, claiming they wanted more people to realize the american dream even if not qualified) trying to influence what ought to be left to the free market. Every problem of poor people is NOT because some rich guy caused it for them even though many on the left subscribe to that belief. Let me give you my opinion on what is responsible for rising prices. Too much credit. If I am trying to sell my house and there are two qualified buyers, I can probably get "x" for my house. However, if a government program suddenly makes two more "qualified buyers" ( and they aren"t qualified because under normal circumstances, they don"t have the income or the down payment that the first two do) that doubles the demand for my house. I am not going to lecture you on the laws of supply and demand but I am sure you get my drift.( price of my home rises) If the government had not come up with the new programs( they think that if it helps people, it must be good and they can therefore tweak markets without any ill effects) much of this would not have taken place. The very people they thought they were going to help are PRECISELY the people that got hurt. From my perspective the predatory lending practice began when the government tried to interfere with/massage well established lending standards.

You are simply saying that all of the Silsbee players would have scored what they scored and the additional player would have just 'added 22.6 points. Think about that and let me know how that works. I am very familiar with Krugman. I guess this is where you would say "that's one point of view". I also know that Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize but we can discuss that another day. Please go back to your scholarly efforts and explain to me, in laymans terms, how a bank/.mortgage company gives a loan to someone with insufficient income and down payment, the customer later defaults, and then we blame that on someone or something other than the FACT that the borrower did not live up to his contract. I would also like to know why you would accept the words of a group of academics over the words of a man who was a member of the crisis committee? Is it safe to assume that you have declared the economist with whom I was in contact, to be unworthy of consideration along with Peter Wallison and, on the other side of the coin, Mr. Krugman is fully credible and beyond question? Does the FACT that he is a columnist for the New York Times impact his credibility?
