1. Although HF graduated several starters last year, they have more than enough talent in the wings to compete at a high level.  Quality players at all positions.  Looking forward to see how the team gels as the season progresses.  I agree with Rizon.  If you don't show up every night, you may not have much to show for your effort at the end of the season.  Kinda like the 2009 version of Silsbee=Domination.  ;)  Good luck to all the teams!
2. Let me start out by saying I am a basketball guy.  Not a huge fan of volleyball , but go to all the games.  Volleyball deserves its own forum.  Attendance at volleyball games is comparable to girls basketball games.  Scholarships for volleyball are probably more prevalent than girls basketball.  In talking with people in the stands, I count about 10 readers of this forum for every poster.  A higher visibility forum may get more people on the website.  In the end, what does it hurt to try it?
3. 4A school in a Louisiana.  Good opportunity for him.
4. Any ideas on a replacement
5. Things are rolling along out here in West Jefferson County.  HF, as usual, is rebuilding this year.  Nothin to worry about over here. ;)

7. Just like the Philadelphia Eagles thought they needed to go in a new direction without Donavan McNabb, Barbers Hill has a new coach to lead them.  HF is also excited about heading in a new direction.  As far as I can tell , both schools now have hope for a more successful future.  Maybe that is what this thread should focus on.
8. 1.HF ;) 2.OF :-* 3.HJ ;D
9. After meeting Coach Price tonight, I am hopeful that he will be the person to build upon all athletic programs at HF.  He appears to be willing to evaluate what he has at HF first, and develop an improvement program from that starting point.  I was disappointed in the turnout of parents tonight.  Around twenty to thirty parents were there.  There may be a complaint from some people that the meeting was not well advertised, but, I know quite a few people who knew and chose not to come.  Apathy is one of the big diseases at HF that Price must cure in order to be successful.  I wish him luck and support as HF moves forward.
10.
Didn't the volleyball coach used to coach basketball? Is she a possibility or did they already hire someone?
She was the previous Girls Varsity Basketball coach at HF.
