Todd was an assistant director for several years and retired a few years ago.  I worked at the HS for a the last few years that Todd was there.  He's a very good man and the kids liked him.  Ronnie Touchstone has been the Head Band Director since sometime in the 80s when longtime director C.R. Smith retired. Anyway, as far as this thread goes.  Its another thread that I wish would disappear because it serves no point other than to promote Vidor jokes.  I will give my prediction for the game though... Vidor 28  Ned 24 in the most exciting game of the year!

I love how we are still a month and a half away from from the start of Friday Night Football and the Ned fans have them winning the district opener at [u]PIRATE STADIUM[/u] by "as much as they want"  Fellas it is simple, it may be the blowout that you are predicting.  I highly doubt it, but it could happen.  Ned will be strong and no one is questioning that, but Vidor has plenty coming back from a team that went three rounds deep and was one drive away from beating Ned last year and winning the district championship.  Keep the crazy predictions coming, it will make victory so much sweeter for those Mighty Pirates!

Putting the boat in the water Sunday.  I was planning on launching at the public launch on Sabine Pass.  The one that you turn left at the four-way to get to.  Does anyone know if the launches are clear to launch.  I saw they had the Umphrey launches closed a few weeks ago because they were full of seaweed.

I did some night fishing last night near a couple that had some spotlights set up.  They wore out the trout.  Do any of you have your own lights for night fishing?  Did you purchase a kit?  What do you recommend?

I hear there have been some nice flounder and trout coming off some of the shorelines running between Bessie Heights all the way to the "mothball fleet"... I just bought a new truck so I have to get a receiver hitch hooked up before I can get my boat back in the water next week...but I will be fishing near the mothball fleet
