With all of the high winds we have had lately, where are some good spots to fish that are easy to get in and out of without getting blown off the water...I'm a new boat owner and need a little help here.  I want to FISH!

Great boat, test drive went well...picking up the boat Saturday!!!

Test driving a Nautic Star 1810 from Texas Marine on Wednesday and if everything goes well I will be picking out a trolling motor and depth finder.  Hope to have it in the water next weekend.

Okay, I'm starting over with my boat search.  I'm now leaning more toward a bay boat.  I looked at the Nautic Star boats that Texas Marine has out at the fair right now... These seem like very nice boats.  Any thoughts you want to share on bay boat brands?  What to look for? What to avoid?  Dealers to avoid?  I'm thinking in the 18' range with a 90-115 hp

Okay, well I've downsized my plans a bit.  I am going with a 20 ft. Alumacraft Center Console.  Gas prices have me thinking I would never be able to afford a trip offshore.  This boat will cover all my inshore and jetty fishing needs. I will just have to keep paying someone else to take me offshore every now and then.

He also played a heck of a DB on the other side of the ball.  His Jr. Year his was primarily RB with Browning playing QB
