Ouch he got you there Raider88. And I'll go ahead and beat you to it, I know your Raiders made the playoffs and Vidor didn't. Yada, yada, yada. Seriously though, congratulations to Lumberton on a great season. You once again showed everyone that history means nothing. Great run, hopefully Vidor can join ya'll in the playoffs next year.

Well football is over so I thought I would check in with everyone and see how everyone's fields faired in the storm. I know Vidor took on some significant damage (mainly electrical). Hopefully, we will begin those repairs soon. I don't know if the damages are as bad as after Rita, hopefully not. How are your fields?

I agree rustedcutlass, we should be a pretty talented team next year. Hopefully we will contend for a spot, but I've been a Pirate fan long enough(all my life) to know not to make bold predictions. -

Thanks Corey, I hate to hear how yalls game ended. -
Thank you James for the nice comments. We in Vidor take our Homecoming with a lot of pride and a lot goes into putting it together. The young man that delivered the pregame prayer is the Captain of the band and you are right it was first class. Congratulations to the Bulldogs on the trip to the playoffs. I know yall will represent the district well. I don't see many defenses being able to stop Cardenas, and Bellows is absolutely phenominal. Grogan is a beast and I'm sure he will land somewhere at the next level. Good Luck!!!!

Here is my rundown of the unoffial Game of the Week for the STJFL. This game took place in Kountze between the visiting Vidor Pee Wee Gold team and the Pee Wee Kountze Lions. Both of these teams went into this battle looking for their FIRST victory of the season. The teams battled to a 14-14 tie in regulation. They then went into overtime. Kountze struck first in overtime with a touchdown but failed to convert the extra point. Vidor quickly tied the game back up at 20-20 with a touchdown of their own, but were also unable to convert the extra point. Kountze then stopped Vidor in their attempt at a DOUBLE OVERTIME score. The Kountze offense tookover and put the game away with another touchdown to make the final score 26-20. The Lions walked away with the victory today, but I got to say this was one of those games where there truly was no losers. The Vidor kids were excited to really be IN a game all the way to the bitter end. Before today our boys had only scored once and had lost their games by a minimum of 26 points. I was very proud of our Vidor boys today. They never gave up. We put together 20pts today, and it felt like a million. Great job to all our kids. They played as a team, and had a great time. Congratulations to the Lions on the victory today. I could tell they were very excited to get the win under their belts. Those boys played hard and had fun. Todays game wasn't about making it to the playoffs or winning the League Championship, but both teams played their hearts out and had a great time. James McDowell Asst. Coach Vidor Pee Wee Gold

*Nederland vs. Vidor Updates*DOGS WIN!!!!

Congratulations to the Bulldogs on a great game and the trip to the playoffs. The Ned offense was just as awesome as everyone has been saying, and the defense was about as weak as most have stated. For the most part Vidor moved the ball very well against Ned, but just could not capitalize on opportunities. I was very impressed with Grogan, but I think I was more impressed with the Bellows/ Cardenas connection. Bellows is very impressive for such a young QB and Cardenas doesn't miss anything. Good Luck the rest of the way. -
dont think so man. ned's def isnt ready for the playoffs. and it is going to be a really close game VIDOR-35 ned-28 If anyone is ready for the playoffs or knows how to get to the playoffs it is the Dogs. Not Veeeeeeeeeeeedor. I'm not sure I follow. This years Bulldogs are pretty much the same kids that missed the Playoffs last year, so I'm thinking this group of kids is as inexperienced at making the playoffs as the Vidor kids. I'll give you that the Ned. coaching staff is experienced at getting there, but the kids have never been with the exception of a few Srs. that may have been on Varsity two years ago. How many Ned kids have playoff experience???

Any non-Ned/ Vidor fans planning on coming to this game? Should be a great game in a great atmosphere.

I won't have to make excuses. I haven't been on here running my mouth about how my team is going to win in a blowout. If you read my predictions it says that I see it being a close game that could go either way. All you have to do is read. Why is it running my mouth when I make a prediction and its not running your mouth when you do... I just think Nederland matches up against Vidor in a way that will lead to a blowout type game.... I still think Vidor has a good ball club just that it doesn't do well against what Nederland does well. Name a bet, I'll back my dogs.....What ever is considered a blowout that is what I predict,,,, to most on here anything beyond a 12 point game is a blowout,,,,,I say it's over a 12 point margin.... I hope for the 42 to 14.... I'm not in the habit of betting on the performance of 16 yr old kids, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Good luck to both teams.

Read my prediction post. I know this is going to be a hard fought game that could go either way. I was only responding to Mr. Mosley and his apparent sour grapes.

I bet thats what you thought two years ago :D

Is there an echo on this thread... How many times are you going to feel the urge to give your prediction. I think we all know your looking for a blowout here. I just hope you don't disappear from the forum if it goes the other way. I would love to hear all the excuses.
