This seems to be the trend with scrimmages and non-district games involving Lumberton.

Vidor doesn't get to recruit, enrollment doesn't mean much when one school can recruit from the entire Golden Triangle.

I have to believe he is under ENORMOUS pressure from the powers that be to reschedule.

This might add a little fuel to the fire surrounding that OTHER cancelled game!!!

I don't know much about the team, but I read last year that some guy named Biggio that used to play a little baseball in the Houston area was a volunteer coach last year, he was later hired as their baseball coach.

Thanks PNG, thats what I thought. I got my boat hooked up to go tomorrow morning, but I might sleep in instead.

Did anyone fish this weekend? How did you do? Has Sabine recovered from all the freshwater that Dolly gave us?

It all depends on what kinds of tides we get over the next few days. Really strong tides can speed up the removal of all the freshwater. That being said, I think we are getting a lot more rain than what we expected. So, the tides may not help that much. I was planning on heading out Monday morning and giving it a shot, but I'm not so sure now. I may wait til later next week.

Not much luck this morning. Fished early; about 6am to noon. Plenty of bait in the water, lots of gators, but the fish weren't biting. Maybe it turned on later in the day. Several boats were out there, and it didn't look like any of us had any luck.

Gonna hit the Dupont Outfall Monday morning. I'll report on the luck.

Fished the Bessie Heights cut on Thursday. A couple of boats landed quite a few nice trout using shad. All I had was artificial bait and some live mullet. The folks in the other boats said that lately all the trout want is live shad. I did have some luck with some good redfish on the live mullett.
