Congratulations to all the teams that competed. Good luck to our Vidor Pinto and Shetland teams in Irving, and have as much fun as possible.

Got to go with Vidor. They are undefeated, they have 10-run every team they have played including a 22-11 victory over Groves. I just don't see Vidor being beat not once, but twice. They are 7-8 yrs old so I know anything can happen, but I say Vidor wins game one to advance to State. Good luck to both teams.

Vidor beat Orange to remain undefeated and go to the Championship round. Orange and Groves will battle tomorrow to get another shot at Vidor. I know I am a little biased, but Vidor is rolling right now and whoever plays them Friday night is going to have quite a job trying to beat them TWICE. Good luck to everyone!!! Also congratulations to Vidor 2 for a very impressive showing by making it to the final four.

I believe you are exactly right. Every tourament with an odd number of teams that I have seen in the last several years has had a bye for the Host team. It makes sense to me.

Act like yall have lost before instead of hollering at the kids.. Trust me we have won before..I believe it was about a year ago and we were sitting in Dallas playing in the state tournament..And there was a great group of kids from Orange (and coaches ) who got along well and were very classy.. You might have won the little sectional tournament last year but your stay in dallas was brief. If I remember it was two games and back to the house. So don't act like vidor has never been beat. Did you really just post that. You do know the kids were 5-6. This whole thread needs to be deleted.

Vidor will be strong, very well coached, and hungry for a trip to STATE!!!!!

I hope Vidor does win BIG, but I know that Coach Hal and his kids will settle for a win of any magnitude.

Its just that I'm with you on this. These people act like its the end of the world that its taking a little while to settle who the coach will be. Everyone just needs to step back from the ledge, its going to be allright.

Any word yet?

They have several returners, but they are still young. There are only a few seniors. Last year they had lots of sophmores on the Varsity team. New QB( Teinert - Played LB last year, may go both ways this year), Returning RBs Reynonlds, Peevey, and Pittman (Reynolds is a big FB, Peevey and Pittman are very fast out of the backfield) Not real sure about the Receivers this year. On Defense I here Laramore and Johnson should make an impact both will be Jrs with 1yr experience on Varsity. I think Johnson is an LB and I'm not sure about Laramore(I think he is a DE) Secondary returns Jrs Travis and Hester with 1yr on Varsity. I may be a little off on position of a few of these kids, but that is what I remember. Good group of kids, hopefully they can put a few wins together this year.
