Over here in Vidor we cherish any win we can get I love it when our kids beat Lumberton, last year they got us so I hope we put it on them this year. Of course, it would be nice to put up two in a row against Nederland. Thats going to be a tall order at their place this year.

I spoke with Bubba Tipton about this at the All-Star Tourney. He said that Fall Ball is not sanctioned by PONY, so the kids can play up if they want. I know over here in Vidor we are allowing the kids to play up to the division they will moving to in the Spring. If anyone knows of a rule against this, please let me know.

There's nothing like those early cold fronts working there way into the area in October. Cool crisp air just feels like Friday Night Football to me. Hot, humid weather is just plain miserable, reminds me more of August two-a-days.

What is it like 1% of high school football players go on to play D1 ball? And, only about 1% of D1 players go on to the NFL. So football is not in the long term future of most of these high school kids. My point is this, these kids should be living in the moment. Like someone else said "having the time of their lives." Parents need to let the kids soak up every second of it, because the overwhelming majority of these kids will never play again after high school. When these kids look back 10-20 years from now, they will only remember how great it was to be on the team and under the Friday Night Lights.

Have any Vidor grads found a place to play? I know several of them were looking, and continued playing in baberuth this summer to stay sharp.

Many kids will be playing multiple sports in the fall, and we will do our best to accomodate.

Interest seems to be pretty high this year. We're hoping for a great turnout. Several kids plan on playing Soccer/baseball or football/baseball.

I just got word that the two players who were pulled out of the game last night have returned to Huntsville for tonights game. I will be getting phone updates on the game tonight, and I will post them.

These kids have worked their tails off to get here. This really pi$$e$ me off that the "adults" could possibly ruin this opportunity. The boys were devastated by the events of last night. The Huntsville team was very supportive of the Vidor boys. Apparently, they huddled up with Vidor in the outfield while the authorities handled the altercation. The Vidor kids were very upset, most of them crying.
