What you heard is true, adults stepped in and screwed things up for the kids again. Apparently it got pretty ugly. Details are still sketchy, but I believe the game for tomorrow is still on. This is an awesome group of ballplayers, and I would hate to see their chances of going to Florida spoiled because of idiot adults. JUST LET THE KIDS PLAY!!!

In the 5th inning it was Huntsville 7 Vidor 3 Should have a final soon.

I'm trying to figure that out. Initially, I thought it was the WS, but now I'm not sure.

Well, the tourney sure did not turn out the way we wanted it to for our Vidor All-Stars. We lost to Grandbury Thunder on Wed. and Hays Rebels(Buda, Tx) on Thurs. Our defense was just not what we are used to. Our infield struggled through both games, and our outfield had a hard time stopping alot of balls. I don't feel like we were a lesser team than the ones we played, we just never really got things going. Maybe it was nerves or maybe our kids just simply off. If we would have been on our A-Game the results would have been different. Overall the trip was a great experience and the kids had a blast. Thats what matters most. I would not trade the experience my son got for anything. We would like to thank everyone for all the support we received inside and outside of Vidor. Thanks, James McDowell

We will be there with our Vidor Shetland boys, and we have already discussed going to support the Orange Pinto Team in their tourney. Hopefully the Golden Triangle can bring back the State Titles in Shetland and Pinto Vidor Bronco will be playing in Huntsville this weekend. The tourney got pushed back a week to accomodate Louisiana. Good Luck Vidor.

Thanks for all the great comments from TC and Orange. Our boys are so excited about going to Dallas. I agree with TD concerning the Regional. I do not understand how Houston can choose to not allow us into that Tourney. Over the last two weeks I have personally e-mailed and spoke on the phone with some of the PONY guys about this and I got nowhere. They said the Golden Triangle sends one to state and Houston sends one to state. But, I don't think that is correct because I'm sure Houston leagues send their Sectional Champs to state and the runner-up to Regional. And I'm sure the Regional champ goes to state. So it sounds to me like more than one Houston team will be at state. Orange is way to good of a team to be done for the year. It really stinks for the kids.

These two teams are absolutely loaded with talent. They will be an absolute joy to watch as they grow up. Should be alot of great games between these kids in the next several years.

First, let me say what a class act the Orange team led by TGreen has been. Ya'll gave us all we wanted tonight. You've got a great group of kids over there and its obvious that they love the game and work hard at. Thanks also to the guys who worked their tails off all week so those kids would have a field to play on. Ya'll went above and beyond. Big thanks to Bubba Tipton for Directing a great tournament. I can't express just how proud I am of our boys. They worked very hard for us and performed like the true champions they are. As coaches in the Shetland Division we went out of our way to put the best All-Star teams together that we could. This year I think we got it right. Our two teams finished 1st and 4th in a 9 team field. Now on to State! Go Vidor James McDowell

Well, today is the day. Good luck to TC and Orange in your Semi-Final Game. I know whoever we play in the finals will give us all we want. I hope our boys keep rolling and finish it off tonight. Go Vidor!!! Its been a great tournament and I know these last 2-3 games will probably be the best of all.

Kudos from Vidor on the field conditions. Ya'll did a great job getting that field in good condition after all the rain this weekend. I'm also impressed with the overall conditions of that field. When we came over for the Directors Tourn. it was in pretty bad shape, but TGreen and the other guys over there did a great job on it. TGreen and his team put on quite a show last night, good job. Hopefully we'll have something for you if we meet up later in the tourney. The tournament has been great so far, and I'm sure ther games will get even better as we get deeper into the tournament. Good luck to Vidor 2 tonight against very tough Orange team.

My son absolutely loved that camp. This was his second year, and he had a blast. Griff and Stephenson do a great job with the kids.

Vidor is going to be alright. Franklin, Ferguson, and Harris seem to be the key Srs. They lost alot of talent to graduation, but they have some young talent that will hopefully step up big. They should be able to compete again this year, and maybe even surprise some teams.

Easy Killer. What are you 12 yrs old. All the guy did was use the Ned. game as an example of the heart that our boys play with. Everyone knows what happened after that. Nederland got in the playoffs and Vidor did not... Congratulations!!! Now take a deep breathe, relax, and know that nobody is picking on big Ned. for losing to Vidor. Your guys turned the season around and finished strong. Good Job.
