Does anyone have any info on camps for this summer. I brought my kid to the LCM camp last year and he absolutely loved it. Please post any info on '07 camps.

I haven't seen BH play and it sounds like they have a great team, but this Vidor team has shown time and time again that they can compete with the best of them. They have provided one gutsy performance after another this season. I'll take the heart of these Pirates pulling this series out in three games. Good Luck to both teams!!!

What "talk" are you talking about. Again, all I see are several post congratulating the team on a good start. No one is saying Vidor is running away with the trophy this year.

Franklin is not playing this year. I heard he was a great baseball talent, but his focus has been on football and basketball the last few years.

Okay, show me where anyone has "talked smack" about us winning district and making the playoffs. One guy mentioned us as a contender and you want to jump on all Vidor fans for talking smack. Just curious, how old are you? I think that may give me a little more insight into such an ignorant post. All we are trying to do is give props to our team for a nice start to the season.

They are definitely on a roll right now. I hope it continues through district. Coach Green has worked hard to build up the program for the last few years, and it is starting to pay off. The kids are buying into his system and working very hard. We are starting to see more kids focus on year-round baseball, something we've lacked in the past.

As a Vidor fan I have mixed feelings about Matthews possibly landing in BC. On the one hand I have lots of respect for Jeff and think he is a great coach. Yes, he has his faults like most all coaches, but overall I think his heart is there for the kids. I think he is a great asset. On the other hand, he has been here for several years now and has never really built any consistancy in the program. We've had years like '06 where he really was limited in talent but seemed to compete in every game except Dayton. And then he's had years like '03 where he was loaded with talent and could not push into the playoffs. So maybe a fresh start in BC for Jeff and some new leadership in V-Town would be best for all. I'm really mixed on this. I'd hate to see him go, the town loves him(but they've been whispering about a needed change for a couple of years now). :-\
