PN-G FANS - A little tidbit about your QB
vhs replied to RoschonsBigBro's topic in High School Football
That's outstanding, its always refreshing to see such tremendous ability backed up by strong character... wish him all the best! I knew it was going to be a good read when I saw the first bullet giving Praise to our Savior! -
Awesome... looking forward to it

Is PA Memorial JV undefeated? Vidor JV is going into their game undefeated. I was just wondering if this was a battle of the undefeated.

Please help Mid County Madness be the DQ big game of the week!!!

This type of thing along with band of the week would mean more if you could only vote once.... that said good luck on gettin MCM voted in... it would be cool for the locals to win -
Great game... looked like a lot of injuries tonight for Livingston, hopefully nothing serious... Good job Pirates and hats off to Coach Mathews and his staff!!!

Wow! Just watched the onside kick from before halftime and I wish I could figure out how to save it and share it... Perfectly executed onside kick, we didn't touch their guy, they hit us in the back, we recover the ball... Ref gives them the ball and marks off 15 yards against us... oh, and the flag comes in about 3-5seconds late.... PNG dominated the second half and won the game , but can anyone deny that this little bonus for them was a complete momentum shift in the game

Great game... Indians outplayed us in the second half... good luck the rest of the way to the Indians... Pirates get your chin up and get ready for Livingston for Homecoming next week

This should be a tough physical game... Don't know a lot about PNG this year other than what I read on here, but it sounds like they are a good balanced team. I know Vidor will bring their brand of smash-mouth football. If our defense can contain the passing game or at least slow it down, I say Vidor in a close one. I see a high scoring game in the neighborhood of 38-35 Vidor... Can't wait

I got you to your 4,000th post... You're welcome... Lol

I agree... This post was merely to show everyone who wasn't at the game why both sides were on the refs so hard last night.... This type of no call was very common both ways all night... Those refs might want to start back on Saturday morning football... But I don't think they'd survive some of those mommas... Lol
-
If not allowed I don't mind deleting... Just pointing out one of the blatant no-calls from last night. I realize there were no calls both ways and bad calls made both ways... This isn't an attack on players, just emphasizing poor officiating

Pirates looked great.... Hope the rest of the district keeps banking on them being the team that got killed by BH in the Mud Bowl....on to Ozen

I caught a couple last week, and lost a large one at the boat. I hear the high water has them hiding in the marsh ponds still.

I'm hitting the water Saturday morning. Any suggestions on where to start? North End, South End, South of Causeway? Haven't been out in a few weeks, not sure where to start looking for some trout.

There is nothing under construction right now.

Another fisherman has drowned at the Keith Lake cut. That is a crazy dangerous current. I wish the state or county would step up and build a safer pier for the local fishermen. That place is arguably some of the best bank fishing in the area, but no fish is worth a life. I have a boat, but I recognize the value of these hot spots for bank fisherman. Prayers for this young man's family...sad

I love barbeque, and we have some decent places around here such as Pinehurst. However, I recently ate at Cooper's in Llano. It puts anything we have around here to shame. In my opinion, places like Coopers and Salt Lick are in a league of their own. Its really not even fair to compare local places to a place like Cooper's.

I bagged five solid trout by 8:30 a.m. yesterday out of Lighthouse Cove, and didn't put another fish in the boat the rest of the day.

Haven't posted in a long time, but there hasn't been much to report. I've finally given up on the North End. I guess the south winds are going to keep it ugly all summer long. Tomorrow I'll try launching on the south end and see how it goes. I here there has been a little bird action down there, so hopefully we can catch a few. Any recent reports worth sharing???

The flounder bite has been excellent. Vudu shrimp has been the ticket. The flounder cant help themselves. They crush it.

Caught a few solid trout on Saturday in Coffee Ground Cove, but it was slow. There was a whole lot of boats out there, and I didn't notice anyone just wearing them out. Went out on Monday afternoon blanked out. I'm going to give it another shot Thursday morning. I may give the ICW a look this time.

Its Spring Break, which means I have nine days off to get a few trips in...can't wait. Hitting the water tomorrow. It looks like the wind will be an issue as usual for March, but will see what happens. Has anyone been out lately?
