Vidor wins first one tonight and loses the semifinal game. Houston plays La-Crowley tomorrow for champ. Houston just was the better team. Still proud of our boys and taking third place in Regionals isn't too bad.

Rain delay tonight. Vidor was up 11 to 4 in bottom of third.Vidor/La-Lafayette finish up tomorrow at 5:15 pm. Winner of that goes to semi final game either against Houston or La-Crowley.

Vidor loses first one today, but comes back and pulls out the win in the second game, Orange loses and is now out. Vidor plays tomorrow at six. Winner of Vidor and LA/Lafayette makes it to final three. Champ.Monday Sorry couldn't load bracket..

Tonight The Regionals were held in Vidor. Orange played a team from Houston and got beat. Vidor wins there game against a Louisiana team. Was told tonight that the Louisiana sectionals has over thirty teams in the sectionals and two advance to Regionals. Houston has over 50 teams that play in there sectionals. Houston also sends only two teams to Regionals. Orange plays again tomorrow against a Louisiana team and Vidor has the Houston Champion.

a dad/coach kept updating me throughout the tourney. When yall got in the loser bracket and had to battle back I knew it would be tough. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe one day towards the semifinals yall had to play like 3 games that day? I have to be honest everytime he would text I would think "well they lost." and everytime he said these kids kept pulling it out and playing there hearts out. Winning is fun,but when you see kids battle and not give up, then that just makes it more special. congrats on a great tourney .

The coaches text me last night after game,but I didn't catch what time they were playing today. If anyone knows please update it. Pinto great first game ! Shetland hung with a VERY tough team ,and from what I hear didn't play there best. They will bounce back though.

If they are hanging with a great team like Southlake Carroll, they can hang with anyone up there..

I will try and get updates this afternoon. The coaches said they will be calling or texting and keeping me updated. I believe today is the start of the games.

They team leaves today..Good luck to you guys and keep us updated! Shetland has a tough first team (Southlake Carroll) last years Champ ,but they can handle it..

I wonder what happened to my post? They usually are pretty good about updating it. I don't think all the schedules and districts are made up yet. I asked someone about Silsbee being in STJFL and they didn't know anything about it. Beaumont is the only new team and Woodville is the team that left. As soon as the info comes in I am sure they will be updating the website.

last year I put a kid who has never pitched and had a big heart...His dad helped me ,and was a great guy..His dad couldn't understand why I let him pitch. After a few batters his dad wanted me to go talk to him..I looked at the dad and said "you can". "You go talk to your son on the mound". Needless to say the dad was very proud and the mom thanked me later. She got a great picture of it and he will probably never go make a visit to the mound again and be able to talk to his son.. And when I pulled the kid he tipped his hat to the crowd, and ran back to right field..

Every town has them... You shouldn't be embarrased. You can only do so much..It was nice to meet you the other day.

To the person that created the team, it is a business for them. They created the team. You look at the owners of the teams like Houston Heat, Texas Sundevils, etc... They will make profit off of it. That's not to say that they shouldn't be coaching and working for their money. Coming from experience, if your kid is good enough, it's worth paying a little extra to have your kid on a more solidified team. Not a team that some parent on your kids little league team from last year decided they would start. Not that they don't know baseball or how to run a program, but they do not have the experience/knowledge of these coaches from the more solid programs. I can only speak for the SE Texas Sun Devils but I promise you that there is not a profit made of of it. Indeed, it is operated at a substantial loss every year...but, as they say, when 1 of your guys gets drafted or signs a scholarship -- 'priceless'. As far as if/when to go select, I personally believe that league play thru Little League is the way to go. You get the chance to play the game, in your own backyard, with your own friends, etc. If you want to do more for your kid up to age 12, get him (or her) lessons. After that, select becomes an option. It takes the right kid (committed, etc.) and the right parents. By the same token, once you get in that age group (and if you don't want travel ball), the Babe Ruth League down in Mid County is outstanding. They do a great job year in and year out. Select worked for me and my son. Baseball was what he wanted...but, if you ask him, he wouldn't trade his Little League years for anything. It is simply a matter of the right kid at the right time. good post..

I believe Vidor 1 will be seeing Orange 1 in the Regionals.. Congrats to the Orange Bronco teams also..

Orange 1 is in really good shape.They have to get beat twice and whomever plays them tonight in game 2 will have to manage there pitchin.

I believe there are three teams left. Vidor (2) got knocked out last night. Orange 1 and Orange 2 along with TC are left. Mustang Regionals are in Vidor this year. Vidor (1) and whomever wins the sectional will be playing in Regionals. The Regionals was suppose to be July 18th, but heard last night they were changed to the 25th.

Jungmann was on last night ,and he really looked dominant.To be a true freshmen ,and pitch that way against a quality team like LSU is real impressive. This has been a great series.. should be another great one tonight..
